    It has been a great pleasure to meet all of you at Hotel Coloniali. Great hotel to be in Syracuse, clean, confortable, and spacious rooms. Few minuts walk from the main historical and interesting places, very near to the central bus station. Highly recomended to any one who wish to spend few days in Syracusa. And without doubt we will be back to Hotel Coloniali.

    what a bad hotel. the environment is filthy. it is dirty. there is a fish factory nearby. so the whole area stinks of fish. plus; We had to check out earlier the next day, so we asked if breakfast could be served 1 hour earlier, the answer was: no. for such a small hotel, it was too much to ask. We went to 5 hotels within 1 week and this hotel had the dirtiest environment. In addition: the bed was broken. we indicated this and the gentleman said that it would be arranged the next day…. an hour later when we were in the room, someone suddenly entered our room…. I would never go to this hotel again.

    Nicely decorated room with spacious bathroom. King sized bed with firm mattress- very comfortable. A/C worked perfectly (reduced the humidity as the hotel is close to the sea). Staff is very helpful and kind. Great location for exploring Ortigia. Breakfast was very convenient. Excellent value for money.

    We spent one night in this budget hotel not far from the city centre of Ortigia. The pictures on the website are misleading as the rooms are much worse than shown in the pictures, but the hotel staff is very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is good with orange juice, cappuccino, tea and delicious freshly baked croissants. We booked 3 double rooms and the bathroom in ours (n. 106) was in poor conditions: some mold around the sink and the shower, and both the sink and the shower had the drain completely blocked, so the water stagnated for a long time. The shower in particular was disgusting as after a few minutes you can find yourself in a small lake of water. The bathrooms of the other 2 rooms (107 and 109) did not have this problem and in fact my sister said that the bathroom in room 109 was quite new. If you are looking for a budget hotel to spend 1 or 2 nights this one could be an option to consider but I would not stay longer than 2 nights.

    Old fashioned hotel very close to town or at least within walking distance Breakfast is good albeit the inside space is very limited There is an outdoor area opposite where one can take one’s breakfast also Has a safe that doesn’t work and isn’t repairedHas a shower that at best is tepid it’s the small soaps that are difficult to use
