Location

Ideal for beach holidaymakers, nudists, young people, singles and nature lovers, this design hotel is situated in Cefalu, in a quiet area about 700 m from a beach. The centre is approximately 2.5 km away, and tourist attractions can be reached within about 12 km.

Facility

The resort has 345 non-smoking rooms, which are located on 5 storeys and are reachable by lift. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. Amenities available at the resort include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The resort has wheelchair-accessible facilities. Souvenirs can be purchased at the gift shop. The grounds of the resort feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a newspaper stand and a TV room. Parking spaces are available to guests travelling by car (no extra charge). Other services include a car hire service, a transfer service, an alarm call service, a laundry service, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus. The conference room is available for conferences, lectures and meetings.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and individually adjustable heating. In most units, guests can enjoy a view of the sea from a balcony or terrace. Rooms include a double bed. Children's beds can be provided at no extra charge upon request. A safe and, for a fee, a minibar are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator, a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A telephone, a flatscreen television with satellite channels, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. A hairdryer and a telephone are available in the bathrooms, which are equipped with a shower. Guests can also book 6 wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms.

Sport

The outdoor pool complex includes a children's swimming area and is ideal for working out or just relaxing. Sun loungers and parasols the sun terrace complete the holiday. The pool bar serves a selection of refreshing drinks. There are many ways to relax or stay active at the resort, including tennis, paddle tennis and a gym. At the resort offers excellent facilities for leisure and relaxation, including a kids' club, a dance club and a nightclub.

Meals

The dining area includes a buffet restaurant and a bar. Refreshing drinks at the beach bar are a perfect way to enjoy warm weather. A variety of catering options can be booked. Guests can choose between half board and full board. A delicious breakfast guarantees a great start to the day. At lunch and dinner, guests can choose between a buffet, à la carte, or a set menu. Staff are also happy to provide gluten-free meals.

    We spent there a great week, surroundings is beautiful, green and everything is clean and very well managed. I was surprised by quality and effort that staff put in their work at each meal - breakfast, lunch, dinner - always ready to help, answer question and take out dirty plates, all with a great smile. Rooms were good and bathroom in deluxe room with a see view exceeded our expectations, cleaned every day. Perfect we arrived just before the season when there were not many people still (17.05-24.05) - at the end of our stay approx 400ppl arrived and you could felt that already. AMAZING VIEW from the hotel!!!My warm regards to Giorgio - chef who brought all my lunches and dinners to the higher level with his kind attitude and special effort of preparing gluten free pasta's with a smile. If you have kids - there is a kids club and team is always happy to have some fun and play with your kids, we met Oussama, Sabrina and Alice - thanks guys!     Spectacular!

    From the moment we arrived at Mangia's Pollina Resort, we were in awe. The front of the hotel is beautifully adorned with flowers that scent the air with a delightful floral aroma. The Reception staff (Gianluca, Erica, Tiziana, Antonio, Francesca, to name a few) could not be more helpful. We were greeted with smiles and greetings everyday we were there.The scenery was spectacular, just beyond compare. The bar staff (Melania, Antonio, Giuseppe, Ana Paula, Attilio, Lorenzo, Fabiola, Jeric, again, to name a few) were the best we could have imagined. We have honestly made lifelong friends and they were such a great team. They mixed their own delicious cocktails and we always friendly, helpful and a pleasure to be around. Melania, the bar manager, also helped us hugely by giving us tips on where to go and routes to take. The food was exceptional! Giorgio, the pasta chef, made me fresh vegetarian meals every night, which were deliziosa!! Antonino, one of the waiters in the main restaurant, was friendly, helpful and informative as he is a Cefalù native (the nearest town) and had great pleasure in describing it's many beauties.Ferdinando offered pilates and yoga and came to chat to us each day just to see how our holiday was going. Rosario came to chat to us in the evenings and we had a wonderful conversation about the Italian and English languages, so inspiring that I am now learning Italian! We had a brilliant taxi driver, Maria Rita, who was always there when we needed her and charged very fair rates.We will all be back again next year, and it can't come soon enough!     Sara and Emilio gave a performance on Tuesday that - quite frankly - blew me away. Sara has the voice of what I could only describe as an angel where Emilio might as well have been born with a guitar attached to his hand. We see live performances all the time, and it is no over exaggeration when I say that these two are the best duo I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. If Pollina Resort was to earn their 5th star - it would be solely due to these two stars! BRAVO!     Avoid like the plague. 30 degrees, the room is a sauna and the ac is not functioning. Manager said he cannot do anything and left us in this sweltering heat. Arrogance at its best. Absolutely not recommended.
