Location

The exclusive luxury hotel lies somewhat outside of the centre of Taormina directly on the paradisiacal bay of Mazzarò. The hotel owns its own stretch of (shingle) beach. The funicular that runs guests into the town in only 15 minutes is situated just 60m from the hotel. Various shopping facilities, bars and restaurants can be found within 100 m of the hotel. The transfer time to Catania Airport is around 1.5 hours away (60 km).

Facility

The hotel welcomes guests in a 5-storey building with a lift and 88 rooms. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park (for a fee). Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a childcare service, a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service, a laundry service, a hairdresser, a coin-operated laundry, a hotel doctor and a hotel shuttle bus. Complimentary newspapers are available. A business centre with fax machine and projector is available.

Rooms

Rooms feature a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. Air conditioning and central heating ensure comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the sea view from a balcony or terrace. The rooms have a queen-size bed and a sofa bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Slippers are included. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower, a bathtub and a whirlpool bath. A hairdryer, bathrobes and a telephone are available for daily use. The hotel has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

The indoor and outdoor pools are ideal for exercise as well as relaxation. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub. Sun loungers and parasols are available on the sun terrace. The hotel offers an extensive outdoor sports programme, including cycling/mountain biking, tennis, fishing and horse riding. Water sports enthusiasts can enjoy snorkelling and diving. After an eventful day, guests can work out and recharge in the gym. Various wellness options are available at the hotel, including a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, a hammam, massage treatments and a solarium. An entertainment programme and live music are also options for entertainment.

Meals

Dining facilities include a café and a bar. A number of specialities await guests in the air-conditioned, non-smoking restaurant. Refreshing drinks at the beach bar are a perfect way to enjoy warm weather. Half board can be booked. A generous breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. Lunch is served as à la carte, and guests can choose between à la carte and a set menu for dinner. Diet meals, gluten-free meals, vegetarian dishes and children's meals can be prepared on request. The hotel also offers special catering options.

    Sea Palace Mazaro is in an incredible spot — tucked right between the Belmond Sant’Andrea and the sea, overlooking one of the most beautiful bays in Taormina. You’re basically waking up to that view every day, and it never gets old.We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a sea view room with a private pool, which honestly made the trip. The room itself was stunning, really tastefully done, with high-end finishes that feel fresh but not overdone. You can tell a lot of care went into the recent refurbishment.From the moment we arrived, the service stood out. Stefano at check-in was genuinely warm and welcoming, not in a scripted way, and took the time to show us around. Throughout the stay, the housekeeping and turndown service were excellent ,small details done right every day, which makes a difference.Breakfast quickly became one of our favourite parts of the day. It’s set overlooking the bay, which is hard to beat, and the selection was great,pastries, cakes, hot dishes, plus à la carte options. Everything felt fresh and well thought out. Veronica, who looked after us most mornings, was fantastic,very friendly, full of local tips, and just lovely to chat to. We even got to hear about her niece, which added a nice personal touch to the whole experience.The hotel also makes things easier by offering cable car tickets, which is a big help because queues into Taormina can get long.One evening we stopped into the Velvet Bar and ended up staying much longer than planned. Antonio, one of the servers, was brilliant ,really easy to talk to, full of stories about his travels and Brazilian background, and clearly someone who enjoys what he does. It made for a genuinely memorable night.Taormina isn’t cheap, and neither is this hotel, but it’s one of those places where you feel it’s worth it. Between the setting, the rooms, and the people, it’s hard to find fault. The setting alone is breathtaking: nestled right on the Bay of Mazzarò.     Beautiful hotel , the location one of a kind. Food and drink a little pricey but when you factor in the service it’s worth it. Housekeeping, wait staff and lifeguards at pool and beach all gave spectacular service. Special shout out to Franco and Fernando who made sure pool was kept clean and replaced wet towels when needed .     Fantastic resort and staff!

    The entire staff and the GM are remarkable at this resort. To say that we love this place and the staff is an understatement. Our 2nd time there was as wonderful as the first. We were ecstatic to find the best employee any hotel or guest could ask for, Valentine, still there. She takes such pride in making your stay at this beautiful place so comfortable and her passion to take care of the guests is amazing.I give the hotel 5 out of 5 stars and Valentine a 10 as she literally saved my life by bringing a Doctor to me when I became VERY ill with a bronchial infection on my first stay. The resort is one of the most beautiful places in the world. I can't recommend it highly enough.
