    Catania Visit

    rating20 May 2026

This hotel itself as a standalone is lovely, staff amazing and so helpful, breakfast was good, near to Catania main sites and airport. The pool was nice, clean and towels provided. We did get eaten alive by the mosquitos in the room, so maybe think about fumigating more often. The gym is tiny but at least they made the effort. The price per night is somewhat expensive for the location and drinks in the bar too were expensive, we didn't eat the restaurant. The beach club for the hotel was not up and running until mid June so we were given a pass to another one, which was good. However location wise if you are looking for a bit of a beach holiday whilst visiting Etna and the City, this is not the place, the beach is dirty, abandoned ruined graffitied buildings all along the road and beach. Im not a pool person but needs must. Local restaurants are lovely we eat really well but they again are let down by the views and the state of the beach. Simone Messina, General Manager at NH Catania Parco Degli Aragonesi, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for sharing your detailed impressions of your recent stay. Our team is delighted to know you found the hotel lovely, appreciated the attentive service, and enjoyed the breakfast, pool, and convenient location. We are sorry to learn that aspects of your experience did not meet your expectations. Your remarks regarding in-room comfort, facilities, and overall value are taken seriously, and we understand how important these elements are to a relaxing stay.We are pleased that the alternative beach access was useful during your visit and that you discovered local restaurants you enjoyed. While the surrounding area can vary, our goal is to provide a welcoming base with thoughtful amenities and courteous service. We appreciate your balanced feedback and the time you took to share it. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again and provide a stay that aligns even more closely with your preferences.Best regards,Lucrezia Bontempo, Reception dept, for Simone Messina, General Manager

    Horrible

    rating11 May 2026

This hotel is situated in a dilapidated, deserted beach area teeming with mosquitoes. Despite killing 13 in my room, I still woke up with four mosquito bites. The room was old and filthy, with fine hair on my pillows and sheets. The floor appeared to have water damage. This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Stay away! Simone Messina, General Manager at NH Catania Parco Degli Aragonesi, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for sharing your experience. We are truly sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations and sincerely regret the inconveniences you encountered. We would like to highlight that our property is located in a seaside area, appreciated by many guests for the peace and relaxation it offers, thanks to its spacious surroundings, swimming pool, and private beach, which is open during the summer season starting in June. This natural setting, so valued by those seeking a relaxing escape, may unfortunately involve the presence of mosquitoes during certain periods of the year—especially when humidity is higher—a condition common in coastal areas all over the world. For this reason, we always provide anti-mosquito devices (electric repellents) in our rooms to ensure our guests’ comfort. We are also deeply sorry for what you reported regarding cleanliness. These aspects are of utmost importance to us, and we will promptly investigate the matter with the greatest care to ensure that similar situations do not occur again.Your feedback is very valuable to us and represents an important opportunity for improvement. We sincerely hope to have the chance to welcome you again in the future and provide you with an experience that reflects the standards we strive to maintain every day.Kind regards,Lucrezia Bontempo, Reception Dept, for Simone Messina, General Manager

    Good location and very comfortable

    rating10 May 2026

We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the airport. We had just landed from California and wanted a good night’s rest before driving to the Val di Noto. This worked out well for us. The only thing is that we were glad that we had a car because there was a seafood restaurant nearby that we wanted to try and that worked well for us too. The immediate neighborhood around the hotel was not the best with a few rundown buildings, but there were no issues and there was gated parking within the hotel grounds. We would stay there again. Simone Messina, General Manager at NH Catania Parco Degli Aragonesi, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for choosing our hotel for your stay near the airport and for sharing your impressions. We are delighted to hear that our location suited your travel plans and that you enjoyed a restful night before continuing your journey. It is wonderful to know that having a car made it convenient to explore nearby dining, and that our gated parking added peace of mind. We also appreciate your observations about the surrounding area and are pleased that your stay was comfortable and without issue. We are grateful for your intention to return and look forward to welcoming you again for another pleasant visit.Best regards,Lucrezia Bontempo, Reception dept, per Simone Messina General manager
