  It was wonderful to stay at B&B opera, everyone at the b&b were so kind and helpful. They really listened and made our stay wonderful. It is on the perfect location for visiting Catania. And perfect for us traveling with two kids under 6 years. We will definitely come back!!

  Great location, close to the historic center. All major attractions are easily accessible.11 minutes walk from Central Station.Very friendly host Constantino, who speaks good English.Family atmosphere and comfort.In the morning, a nice girl serves a good Italian breakfast on the balcony of the beautiful patio.Nice room with good furniture, toilet and shower in the room.   Mediocre place with poor cleaning and arrogant owner

  I tried to contact them about the information I received from my travel agent, about transfer and their Covid-restrictions policies. The Owner that I talked to was apparently doing something and clearly wasn't interested in talking on the phone. I ended up going there on my own and without their transfer. Upon arrival the owner was arrogant and not too pleasant to talk with. His daughter seemed cool enough though, I turned to her when I needed stuff. Their Covid-information that they update themselves to the travel agent was clearly outdated since nothing that was stated in their Covid-information was followed.The cleaning of the room was poor. Dirty cups and cutlery at arrival in the room. Also a lot of dust and hair in the corners and in the bathroom. The bidet leaked when used and the leaked water dragged old hair with it out on the bathroom floor. The lamp in the shower was apparently a disco edition since it was blinking all the time. Shower was full of sand and the drainage was so poor that it you let the water run for a bit it covered your feet.The location of the place looked a bit rough and did not give a safe impression at night, and it was a bit hard to find the first time. Central location for doing stuff in the city though.Oh yeah, they will charge you more for the tourist tax than their information at the travel agent will say if they can get away with it. The information said 2 EUR/night up to maximum 3 days and they charged for more. This I first realized after the staying. Su Airbb sono top host, su booking ho un punteggio di 9,5 su 10 faccio questo lavoro e solo questo da 18 anni magari il mio Inglese non è buono e magari hai frainteso.

  The sensibility and organisational skills of this place are like a polar bear in the Sahara: non-existent.My flight had a delay of 1.30h and unfortunately I missed every possible bus or train to go to my city.I was looking than for a room nearby the airport in order to take the first bus the next morning.My flight arrived at 00.30, so around 1am I was looking for a place on booking and I found this one. There was written that once booked no refund was available, so fortunately I decided to call and ask if it was possible to do the check in during the night.A man answered at the phone and told me “Absolutely not! I was sleeping and you wake me up. The room at this hour are not even clean. The check in is possible just from 8am till 3pm”.Was I supposed to feel guilty by calling a number that is in every website of the B&B? I thought it was a business number, not a personal one 🤦🏻‍♀️Fun fact: their description on booking says you can check in anytime until 9pm (so there is 6h difference from the initial hour the owner said at the phone).I’ve never been to the place, I bet it’s a cool and clean place where to stay, but it would be nice for them to have also an office number, so nobody gets mad if a potential customer bothers at any hour.   Well positioned with great character

  This B and B is near the centre of the old city and well positioned both to access the old city and for local transport further afield. We didn’t hire a car until we left Catania but parking would have been very difficult. The house is a 19th century merchants house and there are fairly steep stairs up to the accommodation the climb is worth it. Many of the features of the original house are still there, wonderful ceilings and tiled floors. The owner, Constantino and his daughter Beatrice were extremely helpful and breakfast was wonderful with such luxuries as freshly squeezed orange juice. Great place to stay.
