  Good hotel in the heart of the old town. Lovely and spacious room. Friendly service and every interesting place within walking distance. Breakfast just good. We loved the stay here

  Two couples on Sicilian road trip

  In the heart of Palermo’s Old Town with free though limited parking at the front door. Quiet location but an easy walk to restaurants and the railway station from where the open top buses also leave.A great market about 200 yards behind the hotel.The hotel staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. They organised a taxi to Monreale and the driver waited for over 90 minutes to return us to the Hotel. We considered the 70 Euros money well spent to be so convenient and avoid the parking issues ( and avoid any extra driving in Palermo). Peaceful outside terrace for breakfast and a very comfortable bedroom.

  Not a 4-star hotel!

  My fiancé took me here for a birthday weekend. I had always wanted to go to Sicily. We booked flights and the suite for 3 nights in this ‘4-star hotel’ for £1200. When we arrived, we were not given a suite so we asked to be moved. The next room was less than sub-standard. The hotel was surrounded by derelict-looking buildings, had a horrible smell and was nowhere near 4-star or what the photos represented. We were told there were no more rooms as they were fully booked. The breakfast was poor and had a 2-slice toaster, causing a queue. You had to pay extra for ‘speciality coffees’ and 2-egg omelettes. We called booking.com so many times over the weekend but never got through. This holiday was a disaster from start to finish. My partner had contacted the hotel in advance to let them know it was my birthday but no effort was made to make it special. I mean, the online photos show fresh flowers in every room but there were none of this, not even for a birthday. After this experience, I would never return to Sicily, unfortunately.Furniture was damaged, well-used and mis-matched. The bed was hard and uncomfortable.The canvas on the wall had ‘suspicious-looking splashes’ on them and the rugs were ripped, worn and felt dirty.The ‘intimate cleanser’ by the bidet had a broken seal.The outdoor areas were dirty and rusty, nothing like the relaxed, vibrant photos.There was also a wardrobe with a sign saying ‘staff only’ and a safe that did not work.For a “4-star” hotel, I’d expect much, much more. We actually checked out a day early and paid for another hotel.

  Very Bad Experience with Palazzo Brunaccini

  Hi,I recently stayed at Palazzo Brunaccini hotel in Sicily, Italy, in a luxury suite room. Unfortunately, I had a very very disappointing experience. The hotel did not even provided the basic amenities in the rooms, such as water bottles and tea bags.Also the manager & other staff are very rude n non supportive.

  The hotel must decide whether to remain a hotel or become a party hall. I stayed there and spent a sleepless night due to a party organized by the hotel. I was not informed about the party. the guest's rest was not taken into consideration at any time. The solution given by the hotel: they gave me earplugs.
