  Right in the heart of Monreale, this gem shines with excellence. Beautiful rooms tastefully decorated and clean. Quiet at night. Excellent customer service. Director and staff go above and beyond to help and make your stay pleasant. Will definitely be back. Grazie!

  Good Monreale Location for an Inexpensive Room

  When we finally found the right street to get us to the hotel we drove down a VERY narrow street (flip your side mirrors in if you can). Part of the problem was that GPS directed us to approach via a street which is pedestrian only most of the day. We had to improvise the route. When we reached the hotel, Daniel was very helpful in getting us settled. And for 20 Euros a night he drove our car off to parking, as we didn't even want to think about driving again in the area until it was time to depart. The room was roomy enough and clean. The decor was quite basic. Breakfast was very limited. Maria, the breakfast hostess was very cordial. When we wanted to go to nearby Palermo to explore the sites, Daniel called a taxi for us and the taxi driver came back to Palermo to pick us up pretty promptly in the late afternoon when we telephoned him, as prearranged. The hotel is convenient to the historic and impressive Monreale Cathedral and nearby restaurants. When it was time to check out of the hotel, but earlier in the day than we wanted to depart the area, they stored our luggage for us, and for our departure, Daniel promptly retrieved our vehicle for us.The hotel was rather basic, but quite inexpensive and it fit the bill for our stay in Monreale.

  A hidden gem in Monreale! Our check in with Grace was excellent, Maria is an excellent hostess at the breakfast buffet and the choices were more than enough to start your day. Rooms very large and clean; excellent bathroom and shower.Daniele (owner / manager) was very friendly and professional.Very impressed and would definitely return in the future.

  This is my third stay at the Palazzo Ducale. It is always one of the highlights of my trip. The location is great base to explore the Palermo area but you can become immersed in the Monreale life. The owner and all of his staff are very professional and go out of their way to make you feel like family.

  Good location, need to improve room standard

  We have stayed for 3 nights, family run B&B, very nice, kind and helpful. The B&B by itself is very nice, simple with pretty decorations, reception is in the gate of old house which looks very interesting. Little restaurant where you can choose breakfast is very nice, beautiful little terrace with the view to the garden. We went for sweet breakfast every day and the sicilian pastries are the best. One concern was that room looked very worn, the walls were dirty, cleaning was in very low standard too, there were hair on the floor in the bathroom when we arrived, top cover on the bed had a stain, the cushions on the sofa looked very worn and not cleaned. The fridge (very little one) was not working properly. It is very nice place in very good location - few steps to the center and to Duomo, just need to improve the standard of the rooms a bit. Public parking for small fee (0.50 eur per hour) is available few minutes walk down the road and even in August was never full.
