    Very elegant and beautiful hotel. Set in lovely grounds, pool and sunbathing area beautiful. Breakfast on the lawn set you up for the days activity. On the outskirts of Siracusa, need to get a cab in and back to see sights costing around 20 euros each way. Staff were lovely and very friendly

    A quaint hotel with the charm of grandeur past

    Very quaint hotel! It has a past grandeur charm with its impressive lobby and garden around it. The building itself is an old palazzo with a newly build wing. The rooms are clean, practical and very comfortable beds. The breakfast is plentyful. If you don’t want to venture out for dinner to nearby Ortigia the hotel restaurant offers beautiful Sicilian food. The staff are friendly and attentive. This is my second time I stayed here and it’s the ideal base to explore Syracusa and surrounding areas.

    Lovely but understaffed hotel

    A lovely but very understaffed hotel! When we arrived we rang at the gate to be let in for about 5 minutes with no answer, in the end we had to phone the hotel (from a U.K. mobile!!) to be let in. The receptionist then didn’t give us any details of where things were, breakfast time etc which we had to go back and ask for later. I think all this was because he was too busy as he was on his own on reception and it seemed there was only one other waiter/bartender who had to look after both as well as the pool area!That said, the hotel is lovely, wonderfully clean and the pool and garden area are simply beautiful. Also, although busy, the staff were very friendly.

    Had a wonderful week at the hotel. Very relaxed tranquil atmosphere. Beautiful pool. Whole place well maintained. All staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. Great bar service from Andrea and his colleagues. Nice breakfast provided. Enjoyed the restaurant on site. Rooms cleaned to a high standard daily. Efficient taxi service into Syracuse and Ortigia. Good to have a car to explore beautiful beaches and towns nearby. Few bakeries, pizza places and supermarket within walking distance. Overall the hotel made our trip.
