    Comfortable hotel with a lousy restaurant and okay breakfast

    This hotel is a good choice if you have a car and want to visit Catania and nearby towns like Taormina and others. Its location allowed us to drive to towns we wanted to visit without having to deal with the heavy traffic and parking hassles of Catania every day. It has plenty of free parking on site. The front desk staff was always helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean, spacious and very comfortable. The worst part of our stay was the lack of dining options. There are no "good" restaurants or eateries within walking distance. There are a couple of decent restaurants within driving distance, but as we found out, you may need reservations on weekends and in season.The hotel restaurant is set up to accommodate large tour groups, which usually means mediocre quality food and that's exactly what they serve. Menu is limited, food quality is mediocre to poor and service is non existent. My wife and I walked in for dinner and were told the restaurant was reserved for tour groups and they couldn't accommodate us. Upon our insistence, they reluctantly set up a small table in one corner of the dining room. Service was terrible and food quality was very poor. We never returned.Breakfast is served downstairs. The staff at breakfast is friendly, helpful, attentive and professional. There's a good selection of pastries, breads, cold cuts, cheese, some cereals and fruits. The variety and quality of hot breakfast items like eggs, bacon or sausages are mediocre to poor.

    This hotel was a wonderful experience for us! The hotel is spotlessly clean, the rooms were lovely and the pool was great. Super choice for breakfast and it was delicious. The hotel staff were fantastic - especially the ladies on reception and Francesco! They tolerated our awful attempts at speaking Italian and helped us to arrange taxis and trips out. The gentleman on night duty was a little more short tempered but the language barrier could have contributed to this.The hotel is on the outskirts of Catania - it cost 70 euro from the airport but then the taxi arranged by the hotel only cost 40 euro. There is a pizza cafe at the end of the drive - 2 minutes away.The only thing I would change is that we were on the ground floor and we could not see the pool! Ask for a higher floor if you would like to see the pool!Thank you for our stay!     Hillside splendour sicilian style

    We stayed here for 9 nights. Rooms were great. Very clean hotel great air conditioning. Superb staff. Breakfast was adequate. You do need a car to get around .Wifi was terrible but once I told reception they instantly put a booster in our room and it was much better. Overall this was a great stay and we would definitely stay again. A great clean and well presented hotel.Thank you for a lovely experience.     Me and my dad stayed here 3 days ago it was a lovely location the views were amazing the staff were so friendly including danilla.the only thing that wasn’t the best was the food as there isn’t a lot to choose from and no kids menu but other thank that it was a good hotel!     A wonderful stay in a fabulous,stylish,friendly hotel.

    We had a fabulous stay at The President Park Hotel. The rooms (we stayed in the deluxe) were stylish,spacious, immaculate and very comfortable. All of the staff were extremely friendly,kind and helpful especially Marco,Daniella,Errena,Rosie and the gentleman with the little beard. Having a lifeguard at the pool was great and Lily was fabulous at her job trying to make sure everyone had a sunbed and sunshade. The breakfast was plentiful and the dining room team were so efficient and happy to help in any way as were the pool bar team. The housekeeping team made sure our room was immaculate before and during our stay. The grounds and hotel were well maintained and everyone was friendly and polite. We only used the shuttle bus twice (as we had a car) but it was a useful and reliable service which was complimentary. Thank you for making our stay so special.
