A gem of a resort - a few improvements needed though to be 5 out of 5

    rating30 Jul 2025

What a fabulous 4 days! Suvaki Resort in Pantalleria is run by lovely people - the staff, the management, the waiters/ waitresses, the animators and the cleaners. The stars of the show are the 1. snorkelling direct to the sea from the hotel. 2. the pool which is lovely and big and has unrivalled views of the Med over to Tunisia. 3. The excursion to the salt lake (Venus' Mirror). Why only 4 and not 5. Well - it's quite pricey and for full board you'd expect more. The breakfast is good but lunch and dinner are mediocre at best - with pretty much the same each day. Some of the dishes are all the same eg aubergine (but equally tasteless). In some cases asked ourselves at the end of dinner - what have we just eaten? as it was so bland.2 further criticisms - despite the huge cost you can't get drinking water other than to buy it from the bar - there's no water fountain to top up a water bottle. This is an issue if you're going on an excursion which I've paid over £120 for - doesn't even come with water! - it's a basic human necessity and not including it is petty. I also paid £80 for their 'clubcard' which didn't even get me any water. So overall I'd paid nearly £2300 for 4 nights full board including excursion but outside of meals I couldn't even get a glass of water without having to buy it!The rooms are basic - the wifi barely works and the TV didn't work (I didn't want to use it but if I did I wouldn't have been able to).Back to the staff - the restaurant staff are brilliant! as are the animators. An example of the restaurant staff - there was no butter offered for bread at dinner, and seeing me look for some a waitress came back with some on a plate - what great service. Our sightseeing host (English speaking) was delightful and informative.Getting to Suvaki resort - we were met off the ferry from Trapani and driven to the airport - all easy.

Friendly atmosphere, excellent food and spacious airy rooms.

    rating03 Aug 2022

This is definitely the place to go if you have kids. Huge “infinity” pool, sea access, friendly staff, good entertainment, various excursions and comfy rooms. Food is yummy, abundant served by very attentive and courteous personnel. If you can, get a room with a sea view, sunsets are breathtaking and on a clear day you may spot Tunisia. A real 4 stars hotel

    rating01 Aug 2022

A wonderful place! Pantelleria is beautiful, but to have an unique trip you must stay in Hotel Village Suvaki. It's a beautiful complex, with pool, gym, a private beach (what is a great thing in Pantelleria) and a great restaurant. The pool is really big and you can have activities during the whole day. The staff is just supreme and offers activities for all the ages - really, everyone can participate. The hotel has a private beach, and it's great, because the beaches access in Pantelleria can be a difficult. The hotel beach is really beautiful and the water is warm. About the rooms, they are really good and the cleaning is perfect! But the best part is definitely the restaurant. The food is really good and it always changes, you can taste really good and different food. Definitely worths! I did the hotel cruise, and I have to say: it was a great. The boat was really big and you have food, water and wine during the day! Alessandro Oddo, Direttore generale at Qalea Pantelleria, responded to this review Thank you so much for choosing us and for taking the time to leave your review. We are so pleased to hear you had a lovely time with us – in particular we are delighted to know that you were impressed by our delicious food, ambiance and amenities - the view is just the cherry on top! We very much hope to welcome you back again one day.All the best

This was our third stay at Suvaki! We just love the property. The staff is attentive and VERY helpful. Entertainment was top notch. The food above average. Very accommodating for children. We enjoyed the boat trip around the island but would have preferred pasta to a sandwich. A comfortable place in a wild island, excellent for snorkeling

    rating11 Aug 2019

My experience of three holiday weeks was excellent.Pantelleria is a volcanic island, there are no sand beaches, so umbrella and deck chair are a must (you can’t stretch on towels on lava stones and the sun is burning). Suvaki is one of the few place that provide umbrella and deck chairs on the waterfront. Most other hotels rely solely on pools (the hotel also has a large and well cared one) but I go to the seaside to stay on waterfront.Entering the water is a little tricky (again due to lava stones) but worth the experience. The fauna is extremely rich with many colored fishes I wouldn’t expect such variety in Mediterraneans. I tried more options on the island suggester for diving but for snorkeling (up to 15 ft.) the hotel waterfront presents basically the same fauna. The hotel offers many activities and services and a small store that that provides basic needs (there is also a shuttle to island district but it is hard to spend two hours there). There are other sports including archery and so on. I only used a mountain bike to make a round trip on the island that resulted more challenging than expected for only 30 miles. The food (my package included breakfast and dinner) is of excellent quality with a huge variety of Sicilian appetizer and includes sparkling water and a local bulk wine at wish. Each day there is a different Sicilian pastry. Be prepared to leave the hotel with some extra pound. The room was spacious and clean and the service was kind and timely.
