    I booked this hotel on a EasyJet holiday before I saw the negative reviews and was thinking I’d made a mistake. How wrong I was - an excellent hotel. I just don’t get the negative comments. 1. Breakfast - a vast choice of continental items (no, they don’t have heavy cheeses at breakfast, it’s a light meal), if you want a full English then you go to England for it. There was very decent scrambled eggs, toast, breakfast sausages and onions, should you want it, as well as cold breakfast meats and cheese, salads items, hard boiled eggs, cereals, fruit, enormous range of pastries and sweet items, bread rolls, preserves, etc. what more could you possibly eat? Decent quality2. Rooms - ours was spacious and clean. Ok so maybe more of a nod to 80s style, but nothing wrong with it. Very happy. 3. Grounds - very pretty, lovely pool, quiet and relaxing.5. Staff - everyone was friendly and helpful6. Location - on the edge of GN but walkable into town, plus restaurants, mini supermarkets, gift shops, in roads just meters from the hotel. Bussed into Taormina and Catania from the bus stop a 4 minute walk away.

    Shameful dining experience in " Sicily"

    Lovely hotel. Attractive pool and garden area. Local area around hotel is most unattractive. Beach ( 75 yards away) was disappointing. Pleasand clean room.Dining room was attractive. Staff smartly dressed. The food at dinner time was WORST I ever experienced anywhere. Menu description was like Master Chef.. Ha Ha.Luckily 5 small attractive italian restaurants 75 yards behind the hotel saved 2 nights for us at our extra cost. Hotel busy with North American tour groups too

    The only smile was from the chambermaidThey do not have a heated pool its cold as iceIndoor pool is part of Spa which is €15 each per dayNo coffee tea facility in roomsYou cannot consume your own juice beer food at the pool you will be asked to leave. You can only consume what they sell and its not cheapIn the rooms clean tidy but not what your given in brochure. Our room was tiny. Italian guests and Italian tour companies get the best roomsWalls are thin so you can hear everything above and around you from the toilet and bedroom Lobby is the best place clean bright opulent Would not recommend Breakfast pastries bread fruit cereal hot/cold beverages burnt scrambled egg and cold hard boiled eggsGluten Free Available

    Initial impression very good, with a modern and bright reception area. Alas, after check in, no assistance in finding room. On eventually entering room our first impression was of space. However, bathroom was very old fashioned. Bedroom furniture was plentiful but of mediocre quality. No tea/coffee making facilities. Fridge was poor. Pillows were thin and of little use. Soundproofing does not exist in this hotel, our sleep was interrupted constantly as every movement of other clients is heard, including flushing of toilets and use of showers. Charges were excessive, including pool towels and bottled water. Food at dinner was satisfactory but there was a lack of vegetables with main meals. Waiting on staff were surly and aloof. Hot food availability at breakfast was very limited. Tea/ coffee making facilities at breakfast were wholly inadequate for volume of clients.

    The hotel was lovely and very clean. The location was great, especially if you don't want to be in the center of town. The hotel is within walking distance of restaurants, and the private beach was a nice feature. My favorite part was the pool.
