    Fantastic food, winter paradise

    Saturday lunch after stumbling across this very pretty town. Just eat what Franco offers and drink the local wine. It is great no need to spend more on a labelled brand. The flavours are so delicate and fresh. Fish in Crazy Water (acqua pazza) was so light. Will definitely be returning especially out of season.

    96 euros is too much for this hotel. The hotel looks poor. Rooms look poor. Breakfast tastes poor. No wifi. Small TV. Not very clean.Location of the city is good if you like to reach Erice or Trapini. There is no noise in this place. From the window you can see water and littleboats. There is nobody else here except you. Some other advantages? Free parking. Not small rooms. Receiption is ok, but not ideal.I won't stay here for the 2ns time I guess.

    Off the beaten track

    The town of Bonagia is not your upscale beach resort but rather a sleepy fishing town. The Saverino is right on the water across from the harbor. It is modern with some rooms in the front having a water view. We quite liked it as it was clean and quite. The staff was responsive to a few minor issues and friendly but with limited English. They have free parking on premises. Breakfast is extra in their affiliated restaurant and a good value. There are limited breakfast choices other than the restaurant.The restaurant is quite good and reasonable for dinner. The fish and seafood is very fresh and service is good.It's a short drive to local beaches. This town isn't for everyone but if you want to be close to Erice and Trapini in a quite relaxed atmosphere; it could be for you.

    Sicilian fishing Village, Quiet Hotel, with a Superb Restaurant near Trapani

    Despite traveling throughout Europe, and particularly Italy, for years, I have never written a review for anything. I hesitated on this one until after we made our reservations for the Summer. We have been coming to this little Sicilian fishing village, this hotel and its superb restaurant for 10 years and usually several times in the year. I have stayed at many of the hotels and eaten at almost all the restaurants in the Trapani, Marsala, Erice area and just prefer this one. The rooms are large, many with a view of the sea, is super clean, and the restaurant is simply my favorite. Tell them how you want your fish prepared, they will offer up choices caught fresh that day and suggest a perfect Sicilian wine to match. It is a very good base from which to travel to see what interests you -- from beaches to historical sites to shopping. My only concern is that too many others will discover this wonderful place ....
