The hotel is located in in the heart of Taormina, 50 m from Corso Umberto, the main street and the best place to discover the Sicilian Dolce Vita.     Three star hotel with (at least) four stars accommodations and five stars service

    We were surprised that this hotel has only three stars since the rooms and utilities are more luxurieus than that. But what really struck us was the unbelievable friendly people at the front desk. No question too crazy for them and services offered without asking. It was a pleasure eto stay here.Last to mention is the excellent location. Approx 50 step stairs away is the Main Street of Taormina.

    We loved this hotel and wished we could have stayed longer. Room was large, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was varied and plentiful as well as good! Patio was to die for! What a view! Lastly, the staff was always gracious and exceedingly helpful. They even packed us a breakfast as we had to check out at 5:30 a.m. Thank you Hotel Continental

    A hotel should never sell a room with mold issues. The smell was v bad and when we complained the housekeeping pretended that they couldn't smell anything.

    The rooms were clean. The hotel staff were friendly. Amenities included bottled water, refrigerator, and a safe. Toiletries included bar soap, and shampoo/liquid soap. The terrace bar/restaurant offers a lovely view. The back garden is filled with tropical fruit trees. Everyone we spoke to agreed the beds were comfortable and they had a great night's sleep. The "Family room" was big and spacious with a large tub/shower and small terrace. The a/c didn't work. So we were given a "standard room" with a view. There was a nice fruit plate on the desk. The a/c worked, but there was no terrace; the room felt like a closet in comparison, and worst of all, it had a tiny shower like the last 3 hotels in which we stayed in Sicily, only smaller. As my partner said, "it's not fair, as we get bigger, the showers are getting smaller." (We've been eating our way across Sicily). There were no hooks nor shelf space in the bathroom. In fact the toiletry tray was balanced on top of the soap dish in the shower. The toilet seat requred a balancing act to use it and I saw two ants in the room. We could hear the music from the bar as we were so close to it. Hotel staff said the place was fully booked, that they'd spray my room in the morning, and this was the best they could do. Later, they said they'll move us to another room the next day. And they did. We were given a normal sized room with a nice bathroom. The bathroom had counter space and a more practical shower with a shelf. This room also came with a balcony overlooking their garden. There was no fruit in this room, but there were slippers. Breakfast was included with our stay. It had a good selection of sweet and savory items, including make your own mini cannoli. Extra charge for eggs other than hard-boiled or scrambled. We also had the choice of a variety of coffees or a pot of tea.

    Nice and clean room and bath room with a sea view balcony. Friendly and helpful staff, we also liked the breakfast with different options :-) - we used the balcony a lot, and was very happy with that one! If you are going to Taormina, we could absolutely recommend Hotel Continental. Good location !
