Location

The hotel is situated on the Viale San Pancrazio in the centre of Taormina, 500 metres from Corso Umberto I°, where guests will find numerous shops, restaurants, bar and nightlife options. It is also close to all the major cultural attractions of the city. There are links to the public transport network and a bus station on Via Luigi Pirandello around 700 metres from the hotel, and Giardini Naxos train station is a 10-minute drive. The ancient theatre, Piazza Duomo, Duchi di Cesaro public garden, Palazzo Corvaja and Piazza IX Aprile are all 5 minutes on foot, and the nearest beach is a 10-minute drive. Catania-Fontanarossa Airport is approximately 60 km from the hotel.

Facility

The hotel was built in 1908. Guests have a choice of 25 non-smoking rooms located in a 2-storey main building and 2 auxiliary buildings. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. A lift and wheelchair-accessible facilities are available.     A Divine Hotel in a Magical City

    One of the most special Hotels we have stayed at in one of the most beautiful cities in our travels thus far. The Ashbee surpassed our expectations. From the staff to the accommodations. From the views of the Mediterranean, hillside and Main Land- to the pool, dining rooms, both upstairs and ground level and library. All timeless. It is located at the beginning of the city. Quietly located behind magical gates. We will be back if ever in Taormina again.

    What a phenominal experience we had at the Ashbee Hotel in Taormina, Sicily, this month! The property was beautiful, clean, well-maintained, offered many ways to relax and enjoy the moment, and the service was exceptional! Our dinner at St. George restaurant far exceeded our expectations - the Chef and his team modified my entire meal to meet my medical restrictions, so I was able to enjoy every one of the tastings! (His team called me a couple of times during the day to double-check what I could and could not eat to make sure there were no issues during my dining experience. Bravo!) Such a great experience at this 2-star Michelin restaurant!! So grateful for being pampered during our stay!

    Beautiful hotel in the center of everything, but tucked away so that it feels private and quiet. Staff is wonderful, breakfast delicious, the views are to die for. The pool (we didn’t use)and patio area has a gorgeous view also. .our room was lovely with a small patio.

    Special hotel steps from Taormina Center

    This hotel is lovely, located in Taormina, only a short walk from Corvo Umberto. It is very convenient but you’re not in the middle of the hustle and bustle. It is architecturally beautiful as are the vistas from the hotel terrace and pool. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. Our room had a lovely patio where we could relax for a spritz or a morning cappuccino. The hotel is on the smaller size so you truly feel a personal guest! While we didn’t dine on site, we thoroughly enjoyed our morning breakfasts on the Terrace on the top floor. What is most memorable about this hotel was the personal attention of the staff. They were able recommend must see things to do, like a special spot to get a pistachio granita or several beautiful restaurants where we could dine alfresco. We are most grateful for their help in arranging a special stop on our transfer from Taormina to the airport in Catania. I spoke to the concierge, Denise and told her that we wanted to stop in a few towns where my husband’s grandparents had lived. The driver they secured, Carmelo, hit it out of the park, sharing his knowledge and personal experiences from the towns. He made the stop very memorable for us. It was so special.

    The hotel is very charming, a grand traditional Italian property with lovely gardens, and wonderful views. The location is excellent and the staff very helpful, we enjoyed our stay so much we are planing to return next year. Our chamber maid was excellent, a credit to the hotel.
