  Staff was awesome, room was not good.

  Air conditioning did not work, room not very clean and the fridge was brokenI would not recommend this hotel. Staff were great. Unfortunately, we are unable to identify your reservation, so we cannot determine which room you stayed in or verify the specific issues you mentioned.Since you found our staff to be “awesome,” we wonder if you had the chance to report these inconveniences during your stay — we would have gladly offered assistance or even a room change to make you more comfortable.Please note that all our facilities are checked daily during the cleaning service to ensure everything is in proper working order. Our air conditioners, while not brand-new, are regularly maintained and fully functional; they simply require a little patience to reach the desired temperature.   My friend and I booked this hotel without really knowing what to expect – but honestly, it completely exceeded our expectations.We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade, which gave us two double beds, a balcony, and everything we could possibly need. The room was spotless, spacious, and really comfortable.The location is absolutely ideal – right in the heart of Palermo, near shops, restaurants, and with easy access to buses that take you straight to Mondello Beach. We also did a day trip to Cefalù which was super easy from here – the hotel is a great base for exploring.The reception staff were so welcoming and helpful, and the breakfast was fantastic – loads of choice, great quality, and it kept us full for most of the day. Having this included was a real bonus.Couldn’t recommend this hotel more – we’ll definitely be coming back!   Fine, decent price, but could have been better

  We had a reasonable stay in hotel tonic, and we have no major complaints. Our room seemed pretty small compared to the other rooms in the hotel, at least those that we were able to see whilst their doors were open and the rooms being cleaned.Good:Location - walking distance to harbour and the historic centre, served well by local buses, and the airport shuttle bus stops nearby.We were able to leave our bags in storage after checkout for a a few hours, and the chap who handled the checkout was very friendly.Breakfast was plentiful.Aircon was noisy but worked pretty well.Bad:It was good in theory to have a fridge in our room, but it was mouldy and it didn't work very well. I think it was only operational whilst the room was in use.The shower leaked all over the place, and so had very low pressureThe website promises "cappuccinos and other hot drinks prepared on the spot at the table", but this was not offered. There was only a pot of black coffee in a pot in the buffet area. I booked through a third party website that I had not previously used before. I tried to contact the hotel directly on a couple of occasions in advance of the stay to double check the booking was confirmed, but they never bothered to get back to me. This caused unnecessary anxiety at the start of the trip! First of all I would like to reply to your "bad points": As stated on our website "cappuccinos and other hot drinks prepared on the spot at the table" is absolutely true and all our guests can confirm it! We serve a buffet breakfast and in addition to many delicious sweet and savoury products, you will find cold milk and American coffee on the buffet, that's true, but it's also true that our staff is always there and takes care of preparing espresso coffee, cappuccinos, hot chocolates and all the hot drinks requested on the spot. We have different varieties of coffee, ginseng, barley, just to satisfy everyone's tastes. You simply did not ask, but I find it hard to believe that you did not see anyone being served, it is practically impossible. I am very saddened to read this comment from you where you questions our words. We do not say anything and we do not publish anything that is not true. If you had asked, you would have seen it with your own eyes and would have been more satisfied.I am also very sorry to read that you wasn't able to contact us before your arrival. We have a landline, a whatsapp contact, an email service, social media and everything works very efficiently. We are always happy to be contacted by our guests before their arrival because this allows us to give them various useful information even before they arrive in the city.The refrigerators you find in the room are small hotel minibars and unfortunately in this period of the year, when the temperatures in Palermo are very high, they certainly do not have the same power as the refrigerator at home. However, we give guests the possibility to use our refrigerators in the kitchen when they have special needs, such as for medicines, ice etc.I'm sorry that the shower caused you come troubles, but even in that case you could have asked the reception staff: we have a maintenance man who takes care of this, repairing any faults and making services and systems always efficient.On the positive side, of course I am pleased to hear that you enjoyed our central location, just a few steps from the main places of interest in Palermo. We are in a very quiet area and at the same time very full of restaurants, shops and well served by public transport to reach the airport, the beach and other more distant locations.I am also glad to hear that the reception staff was really friendly, that you took advantage of our storage room and that you found the breakfast plentiful.   This hotel is conveniently located near the city center of Palermo. The rooms were very small, extremely outdated, and somewhat dark. The bathroom and rooms were very clean. If you are looking for just a place to sleep at a good price, it offers great value. The breakfast was amazing and the staff, helpful and accommodating.
