    Unfortunately I do not recommend this hotel and wouldn’t stay here again. It was a surprise to find out that the outdoor pool area with sun loungers are only available if you pay to go to the spa. Upon booking I feel this should be clearly stated and be transparent about the additional cost. To me the outdoor pool area should be available to all hotel guests, when we arrived all we wanted to do was relax in the sun after a day of travelling on the outdoor loungers. The staff were lovely and did allow us to enter the spa when we spoke to them about this. I must say the spa was lovely (it’s a shame that our room didn’t reflect the same attention to detail - marks all over the room walls for example) just overall I feel the hotel hasn’t thought about all guest staying with them .. those who might not want to pay to go to a spa to just simply relax in the sun and in peak time just go in the outdoor pool. It is accessible at a very advantageous promotional price for the services offered: together with the access to the spa and both the indoor and outdoor pools, you also have access to the outdoor areas equipped with comfortable loungers, the herbal tea room with aromatic waters and dried fruit, and all the dry and wet services of our URBAN SPA. With you specifically, we waived our policy and welcomed you to the spa free of charge. We are, therefore, truly sorry that you didn't appreciate it and that you won't recommend us to other guests.     Dear sir / madamThis hotel is not the expected quality of your group.STAFF welcome ok But in absence of dinner service no apology Dinner... no chef/ food Breakfast Limited food including no buffet ham/ cheese. Room in is not the standard of your group 1 no dressing table/desc2 tv ..small and in the wrong position.     Excellent hotel, fantastic experience

    A wonderful experience, unfortunately only three days, in a charming building, recently renovated with attention to detail both inside and out. The double room was spotless, spacious and equipped with every comfort. My partner really appreciated the décor and the large terrace. The staff were professional, friendly, helpful and welcoming, in the best Sicilian tradition. We didn't try the cuisine, but the breakfast was of the highest quality with delicious products and dishes (the pancakes and omelettes were superb!). Special mention goes to the hotel's spa (salus per aquam), which we highly recommend trying. It is an oasis of relaxation where you can recharge your batteries in a sophisticated environment with a wide variety of different spaces (swimming pool, hay bio sauna, turkish bath, salt room, massages, etc.). We will definitely be back for every stay in Catania. PS: the hotel is pet-friendly.     This is my second time to stay here since the new ownership. The staff is first rate! They are very attentive and organized. The restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner. The pastry chef is one of the best! The dinner chef is as good as any 5 star hotel i have stayed in. Customers lunger around in the evening and the atmosphere is very relaxed. Visiting the amazing new spa was something that I was not expecting. The dry sauna is beautiful! Out of a magazine. I will be back.     The stay was wonderful. They have an excellent staff and they serve excellent breakfast. The property is beautiful and well maintained. We also ordered dinner and they were super helpful to accommodate our food requirements.The only problem was traffic noise in the room. It is somewhat beyond their control anyway.
