Hotel was sparkly clean and had great staff!

    rating07 May 2026

The hotel was sparkly clean and quite welcoming. The location was perfect. Close to things but far enough away to be very quiet. Had every amenity I could ask for and best of all, terrific staff I must mention how kind and personable Alessia is at the front desk. Proactive and helpful, which because I’mAlone, means so much to me. She’s someone I looked forward to seeing each day.And breakfast was lovely and bountiful. The two gentlemen, Pino and Tito, made it perfect. Pino made an extraordinary cappuccino each morning. And Tito did a very good job at the omelet and egg grill. The large breakfast area was always very tidy and organized. I will miss this!

Great location, superb breakfast, terrific super helpful reception team

    rating27 Apr 2026

Great location on the sea front, with a terrific roof top breakfast area for great views over the old town and sea. Nice clean good size rooms. Great super helpful service from the reception team. Terrific breakfast with fresh eggs served, fruit, yogurt, cakes and pastries and a barista for proper coffee. They are missing a trick not opening the roof top as a bar - it’s such a good spot. Highly recommended

    Bittersweet experience

    rating06 Aug 2025

I’ve stayed in this hotel previously and was looking forward to coming back.Room was great and air con worked well. It was cleaned daily and new towels every day. Comfortable bed too.Reception staff were great. Very friendly and always engaging with guests. The private beach area is great too, always a sun lounger available.Breakfast served on the roof terrace was great and I loved my daily omelette and the freshly made coffee. However the positives ended there. The pool area is quite dirty and it really needs hosed down daily and the sun loungers/tables scrubbed as there are lots of birds and pigeons flying over the pool and defecating. Lots of bird droppings round the pool draining area. The music played from the pool area was obviously hooked up to the maitre D’s mobile phone so every time he got a call or message you could hear the message tone of ring tone!l on the loud speakers! The hotel is missing a trick by not offering an attentive bar service to the pool area as I would see many people queuing for ages to get served at the bar. They could upsell a lot!The bar area has such potential which is not commercialised in that way it could be.Like other reviews, if you’re a guest of the hotel for a week and spending a lot of money to stay there, the bar staff were not interested, they were more interested in standing beside the DJ booth chatting then serving guests. The only person from the bar area who was attentive and was working so hard was a guy called Nicky, I think that was his name. We waited 40 minutes one night before being offered a drink and some other guests complained and got free drinks. I didn’t bother complaining as I couldn’t be bothered with the conflict whilst I’m on holiday but it was a joke. On our last day we decided to see how long it would take to get served in the cafe area and it was an hour and a half we sat and decided to go as we were not getting anywhere! On their social media on Instagram, there are lots of posts of sunsets from the rooftop. That area does not open at night and could make a great spot for aperitivo. The room rules about bringing no drinks in to the room would make sense if you actually got served at the bar. People are willing to spend their cash on holiday!I do like this hotel, but I would only stay here again and not use the bar/restaurant area and go to other places who are willing to take our business. If these things were sorted out, the hotel would thrive as it’s in a prime location and the facilities are good. Gorgeous beachfront hotel

    rating27 Jul 2025

Lovely hotel in a beautiful location. Rooms are lovely - clean with powerfulair con, and cleaned every day. Nowhere to put clothes apart from a rail - some drawers would be great but not a mega issue. Breakfast was lovely - loads of choice with freshly cooked eggs and a barista for coffee. Breakfast laid out in rooftop area so lovely views while you enjoy your breakfast. Reception staff are fantastic - really friendly and knowledgeable and helped to us organise a boat trip which was just amazing. But… roof top area closed apart from at breakfast. Would have been ok but we chose the hotel thinking it would have been open at night as a bar. Bit of a shame really as it’s such stunning facility and would be lovely to have enjoyed it at sunset. Pool is lovely - warm and the beds are great but the bar is a little tricky to navigate. Poor service at times - in fact - no service most of the time!! If you’re a local passing by and want a scoop of gelato, people jump up and serve you. If you’ve paid for ten nights in the hotel and want a beer it’s a bit more tricky. You’re either ignored, or your order is taken then you sit for ages and nothing happens! Then if you go to the bar to pay, the staff seem a bit confused. A couple of the waiters are great but some of them don’t seem to know what wine or beer are and look confused when you ask them. It could be a language barrier thing but it would be nice if it was a bit consistent and the staff looked after the guests a bit more when they’re round the pool. Cefalù itself is beyond stunning with a beautiful beach and the hotel has beds there which is super convenient. The Beach bar is lovely and staff there are great. The food is great there too. Fantastic choice of restaurants and bars in the town and easy to get a train to Palermo for a day exploring. Would definitely go back and stay again.
