Location

Situated at the foot of Monte Pellegrino, the hotel and its luscious garden look out onto the bay of Sicily's capital. Mondello Beach is just a 10-minute drive away.     This is a lovely hotel, out of downtown Palermo. I was really disappointed with the service. After reading other reviews I expected 5/6 star service. I will say that when I spoke up about our issues, the hotel mgmt did what they could to satisfy us. The rooms are lovely. The pool is small. The sea view is nice but you should know there is construction and a working port nearby. The entertainment is delightful. The food was ok. The bartender was great.

    The Villa Igiea is quite simply the most elegant, luxurious, and welcoming hotel that we have ever experienced. Every single person and activity is perfectly welcoming and arranged, and the accommodations and dining are magnificent. Yes, it is expensive, but I assure you the moment you step inside you will never think of the price again--this is the hotel we have all been looking for!
