  I recommend you considering ApartHotel Anghel if you passing around Siena. Spent 2+ months at ApartHotel from March 2023. It was a peaceful and interesting stay. Great availability and support from the staff. It contains well equipped service apartments, it is in a calm environment with close by stores.

  My many week stay at this property was delightful in every way. As part of a group studying Italian at Unistrasi, I and others were housed here.The biggest drawback is the distance from Siena proper, and in this instance from school as well as the happenings of the Palio, a huge draw for some members of our group. It meant taking buses which most became familiar with and used with ease.The facilities of the complex were for me, perfect. The folks at reception were always eager to assist. The unit I had was bright, comfortable and clean. With an induction stovetop, and plenty of kitchenware, plus a small but adequate refrigerator. As well there was a washer and dryer in the lower floor for use with a small fee.My unit was in the back, which I recommend due to possible road noise in the front. A couple of farmers markets are held several times a week in the block, and across the street is a full service super market. Life was very comfortable at the Aparthotel Anghel and I recommend it!

  We stayed 2 nights in July 2023 .....12th to 14th. The air conditioning was okay and overall nothing to creep about. Receptionists were polite, pleasant and knowledgeable. However the room could have done with an electric kettle. Connection to city centre was easy by bus from stops yards away from the hotel. The Carre4 supermarket and few eateries opposite were helpful .

  Avoid the risk of ruining your vacation

  Right next to the reception, and directly below some of the apartments there is a restaurant that has live events on Saturday evenings with loud music, DJ with microphone and people dancing, cheering, clapping etc (basically like in a club/disco). We had the bedroom directly above this restaurant so we could hear everything and feel the vibrations when we put the head on the pillow. There is no reception after 7 PM but they have an emergency number that we contacted on WhatsApp to sort this out. The hotel declined all responsibility and said they can't do anything, and when I asked why they rented directly above the restaurant/disco they were rood and condescending. The party in the restaurant kept going till 3 AM when it ended up with a fight between customers right outside, below our window and next to the parking spaces for the hotel guests! When checking out we complained about the parties and the attitude of the person responding to the emergency numbers, and it turns out that they knew about the parties, and they described it as some noise and it would be a little later in the evening. There was nothing they could do except apologize, but I wonder why didn't they make any complaints for the noise to the police to ensure the comfort of their customers or at least contact the restaurant to stop at a decent hour (especially since this is a restaurant they are recommending when you check-in and on the information in the room). Surely there were solutions so that we could have been able to sleep in the room we paid to sleep in, but apparently they did not care.

  As a family we stayed two nights and took breakfast. There was no area for breakfast, so they left some stuff in the room which had to do. We payed €50/night for 5 industrial croissants 2 toast bread, some crackers, cookies, water, some Capri sun lemonade, uneatable cheese. 5 x 15grams of Nutella and some honey. Maybe I forgot some stuff.When I complained they gave a few more packed croissants You thick that after I complained the first day, they would do something for the next day. Forget it, it was worse. Apparently we the industrial croissants ware out. After I dad to complain again, we had an extra toast bread, water and some cookies. The fact that they gave it just at closing of reception and run away before I even could give a respond, will not help. Luckily at the other side of the road there is a small supermarket where I bought some real fruit juice, some milk, fruit and extra Nutella. So after spending around €100 for a €15 breakfast I spend €7 more in the supermarket. I call it theft.
