  Exceptional stay at this beautiful property

  My fiancé and I stayed at Borgo di Pietrafitta Relais for one night at the end of July, and I have just one word to describe it — wow.From the moment I booked our stay, the property went above and beyond to help with any questions I had. Their response time and attention to detail were honestly unmatched compared with any other stay I’ve experienced.The property is also a wedding venue, but we found it to be absolutely perfect and incredibly romantic for a couples’ getaway. We never felt any less special being there simply as guests rather than for a wedding.Coincidentally, my fiancé had proposed to me a few days before our stay, so he contacted the team ahead of our arrival. They were incredibly generous and upgraded our standard room to a small apartment. They also left us a delicious bottle of their local rosé, along with some lovely cheeses and crackers. It was such a thoughtful touch and made our stay feel even more special.The property is beautifully tucked away in the hills. It may not be the ideal location for anyone looking to head out in the evenings, as everything is downhill, but this was exactly what we were looking for. We wanted somewhere peaceful where we could relax, unwind and enjoy the beautiful scenery.There is a restaurant at the bottom of the hill, around a five-minute walk from the property, and the nearest small town with a supermarket is about a 10-minute drive away. Once again, the staff were incredibly helpful and even arranged a table for us at the restaurant.The only slight downside for us was the lack of food and drink facilities on site. There is no restaurant, so breakfast doesn’t include any hot food, although there was a lovely selection of cheeses, meats, cereals and other items. This actually suited me perfectly, and everything was delicious! There is also no bar, so we couldn’t purchase water, soft drinks or snacks and had to drive to the local supermarket. That was partly on us, though, as we could have planned ahead. I do think a small selection of soft drinks and snacks available on site would be a great addition for guests who fancy something quick.All in all, we had an absolutely fantastic stay at this beautiful and romantic property. I genuinely cannot fault the property or the staff. The views were stunning, the atmosphere was incredibly peaceful and relaxing, and we will definitely be back to visit.Who knows — maybe next time we’ll even be saying “I do” here! ??

  Lovely Wedding Visit

  We were here for a wedding and had a great experience. It's more a wedding venue than a Hotel, beautifully located and well laid out. Great outdoor spaces and vistas of the area, nice pool, lounging areas and terrace overlooking the hills and stars at night. Really nice, professional and very friendly staff. Rooms were very good, lovely bathrooms, quiet and well laid out, had everything we needed. Had better breakfasts in Italy, but still good. Highly recommended for a typical Tuscana experience.

  Beautiful and comfortable rooms, amazing views and an incredible staff. Whole family came for a wedding and it was the first experience of a lifetime. The outdoor dining area is like something from a storybook. Make sure to try the wine produced on site; it's excellent and so is the olive oil

  We went for a wedding but will be going back either on our own or with group of friends. Absolutely stunning. Chianti at its best. The Villas are all different and unique. I felt like you were living in history. Its also a great place to do day trips from.   the BEST agrotourism-type accommodation in Tuscany

  The location is AMAZING!!!! The views from the property over Tuscany wineyards are just spectacular. Sonja was extremely friendly and not only introduced to us all details of the property as well as informed a bit about its history. The whole property has quite large space and a sufficient private parking. The room was arranged in bygone years with great taste and the bathroom was spotless. The breakfast was tasty, in the cellar among barrels what was of spectacular interest. We loved siting in the armchairs sipping wine and overlooking Tuscany landscape. In the summer time 2 nice located swimming pools can be used, also a large grill place. There was really plenty of meadows among the appartamments. Everything was in very good condition, everywhere very clean. For us - it was the BEST accommodation in agrotouristic style in Tuscany.
