    Fantastic stay at beautiful Borgo Scopeto!!

    Truly a fantastic and relaxing stay at Borgo Scopeto. A magical vineyard property, amazing staff and great location made for a perfect getaway. Shoutout to sommelier Fabiana, bartender Dominick and concierge Elisa who were all friendly, efficient and knowledgeable, and made our stay so memorable.

    Generally this is a very good place to stay. Rooms are large with good facilities, clean and quiet Air Con. The staff at reception and the concierge are very genuine and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, dinner slightly less so, service efficient but not personal in our experience - almost regimented, also rather pricey. Bar staff were not great and we had several long waits to be served and some were rather curt. The site is lovely - very well kept with large interesting grounds to wander around, two good (slightly cool) pools and wonderful Tuscan views. Siena is a short distance and a simple drive away.Appreciate the hotel can't do much about it's customers but there were large groups of loud guests (mostly our transatlantic friends) on our first day with their own speakers, think there had been a wedding.There are options for local restaurants but to the north you do have to navigate uneven gravel roads for several miles before getting to a tarmac road.     Superb hotel in the main - a few issues need addressing though

    Absolutely superb hotel and grounds in the most beautiful part of the world.The reception and other communal areas were beautifully designed and immaculately clean.We ate at the pool bar and restaurant. Both were wonderful and the knowledge of the staff was sublime.I would recommend going here as it is an utterly unique and surreal experience. However I have had to deduct a star due to two reasons. Firstly the air conditioning is inadequate for such a luxury hotel. Our room was at 24 degrees and could not apparently be cooled further. Other rooms were lower at 22 degrees. Whilst I feel for them in an old building in 2026 I still believe it’s pretty poor.Secondly most of the staff were friendly and attentive. However the 2 young male members of staff there on the day we arrived and following did not smile once and did not really seem interested. Again poor for a luxury hotel.Still a very good hotel in the main Borgo Scopeto Relais, Guest Services / Front Office at Borgo Scopeto Wine & Country Relais, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review.     Wonderful. Absolutely beautiful location made only more terrific by the impressive service and attentive staff. Employees always make any stay more wonderful and the staff at Borgo Scopeto did all they could do to make it a once in a lifetime experience. Breakfast and dinner overlooking Siena off in the distance, terrific wine and great service at breakfast and dinner. They made our honeymoon extra special.Thank you Elisa at the concierge desk who took time to look up on the computer places to see and then e-mailed an itinerary. Then followed up to see our our day was. . . .Rooms have breathtaking views of the Tuscan hills, fields of lavender and olive trees.
