Reception staff were lovely and even provided a tray with kettle and cups and saucers and some tea for the room.Room was very small and dated but clean.We asked for a balcony but it was unusable as it was small had 3 air conditioning units on it which blew you to bits if you tried to sit out on it. Had a nice view.Breakfast was OK nothing special.Could walk to train station and centre of town easily, took about 10-15 minutes.Very expensive for the small room and dated furniture.

We had a great stay here during the Palio in August 2026. Walkable to everything, including the Campo (10-15 minutes) and train station (10-15 minutes). Located in the Lupa Contrada. Will stay here again for sure.

Had 4 nights at this hotel at the end of May 2026. The air conditioner did not work, complained to the front desk who said it would be fixed the next day. They provided a portable fan that I had to remove the guard from to quiten the rattle noise down. The next day they said they had replaced the unit, however they replaced another rooms unit not ours. They then provided a portable air conditioner unit that was unusable due to the noise it made.The walls had dirty footprints on the near the bed and obviously needed a complete clean or even a repaint. Minerva Siena, Proprietario at Hotel Minerva, responded to this review Dear Sir, we remember you that we offer to change room but you decide to remain in the first. We apologize but we ha've done the best for you.Best Regards

Loved Hotel Minerva!

Truly enjoyed everything about our stay at Hotel MInerva, and I highly recommend it. We had a room 620 with a balcony. It was very secluded and perfect for celebrating our 40th anniversary. The view was stunning and the whole experience was very relaxing. This would definitely be my hotel choice in returning to Sorrento.

Hotel Minerva is a wonderful place to stay in Siena

Our visit to lovely Siena was enhanced by our accommodations at Hotel Minerva. The hotel is well located for reaching the many sights on foot (through an energetic walk) up and down the charming streets of this old town. The room we had w bathroom and tiny balcony was small but spotless, and offered outstanding views of the town. There was always sufficient hot water, the bathroom fixtures all worked well. Best of all, the bed linens and used bath towels were replaced daily, and the bed linens were crisply laundered. There were linen hand towels in the bathroom, a touch of luxury. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, including coffee options, and a good variety of baked goods, boiled and scrambled eggs, cold cuts, cheese and fresh fruits. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly giving assistance, and helpful advice to ensure a good visit. Only one quibble - the bed frame had sharp corners that my shins found in passing by. An altogether great hotel - would absolutely choose it again should I return to Siena!
