  Stayed for 3 nights in October 2026. The plus points of the hotel are location near the historic centre but accessible by car, decent sized rooms and a good breakfast. But some aspects are disappointing and below the standard of a good hotel. Namely.No room service;.No restaurant or even coffee shop;. Shabby decor in the rooms;.Broken or worn fittings such as table lamp with arcing wire, shower fittings broken, jammed bath and bidet wastes (lucky I had a Swiss Army knife!), broken window handle.Barely 3 star level.It’s basically geared for package tours and needs a total refurbishment. While we do not provide an extended all-day room service menu, our central location places guests just a few minutes' walk from a wide variety of cafés, restaurants, bars and other amenities in the heart of Siena.Regarding the maintenance issues you described, please accept our sincere apologies. We take reports of defective fittings very seriously and have shared your comments with the relevant departments for immediate verification and follow-up.At the same time, we were concerned to read that you attempted to intervene personally on some of the reported issues. While we appreciate your practical approach, guest safety is always our priority. Any maintenance concern, however minor it may appear, should be reported to our team so that our qualified maintenance staff can intervene promptly and safely. Attempting repairs personally could unfortunately put both the guest and the property at risk.We regret that these issues affected your overall perception of the hotel.   Generally good, but more value for money and location than luxury.

  There are many good things about this hotel, but also some limitations. On the good side - location (very accessible and short walk to the main sights in the city), comfortable reasonably appointed rooms. On the bad side, there are some rooms that are distinctly poorer than the others. We were unfortunate enough to be given one of these rooms (315 - AVOID), which was difficult to find, tucked away by the fire staircase, newish shower, toilet, but plumbing very poor. We arrived back on the second day to a really strong smell of raw sewerage in the bathroom and ended up having to move to another room because the smell returned after they said they had fixed it - I suspect it was a known and recurrent problem. The room we were moved to (301) was much better and the plumbing much improved. The showers in both rooms were NOT thermostatically controlled and you have to keep playing with the hot and cold taps, alternatively getting frozen or scalded as the other guests tunerned their taps on and off. Breakfast on the first day was good (except for watered down fruit juices) but got worse and worse every day and by the last of our four days the bread was stale, the sliced fruit (a great choice day 1) ended up as only water melon. We were on a tour with the rooms paid for so I can't comment on the pricing, but the usual booking platforms showed it as being pretty reasonable. To be fair, the staff were very helpful and friendly. Overall, yes I'd recommend it because of the location, reasonably appointed rooms and definitely comfy beds.   NH Siena is the-worst hotel of all time

  The worst hotel I’ve stayed. 1) The hallways, stairs and reception are embedded with a very strong perfume scent that has aggravated my throat and sinus, leaving me with strong flu like symptoms. 2) Their rationing of the electrical system has left me with a dead laptop. Some but not all of the hotel support staff are rude and unfriendly.   Great location and nice hotel in Siena

  Very friendly and helpful service staff. The best can walk only 2 mins to the main Piazza. Bus station to other cities in front of the hotel. 10 mins by car to the train station. The room is clean modern and very nice and convinience to stay with a nice view of Siena city. Quite for rest. Very good value of money place to stay. Nice breakfast.   We had a great stay in June. We booked a room with the duomo view. The view was great, overlooking the football stadium with Siena centre in the background.The hotel was well located. We took a taxi there from the train station. From the hotel it was an easy 10 minute walk into the centre of Siena. Large supermarket near the hotel. The room had everything we needed, including, air conditioning, a safe, an excellent hair dryer, a fridge, a coffee machine (could also make tea with it it by not putting a coffee capsule in it) Breakfast was nice, we are vegan and there were options for us and there was non-dairy milk alternatives.
