    Rural guesthouse

    rating30 Apr 2023

A rural guesthouse in a peaceful and verdant setting. Rooms are simple and clean. Hearty breakfast and evening meals are available. Mainly of interest to travellers with their own car, and to hikers on the Amalfi coast trails.

Simple but good value for money

    rating30 May 2019

The hotel is "in the middle" of nowhere, actually along the popular coastal road to Amalfi. We had a room in a separate building. Simple but adequate and very quiet. All the basic things you need. Breakfast was also simple (TV on too loud) but enough. For the price you can get a good nights rest here.

Nice surroundings, but a bit desolate

    rating17 Jul 2018

We choose this family-run place because it was relatively close to main towns on the Amalfi coast, and the plan was to take SITA-buses to Positano and Amalfi. According to the bus schedule it would take about 20 minutes to Positano, and from what I had read from other guests, there would not be any problems in that matter. But, having arrived at Piccolo Paradiso, we were explained that these buses are normally packed full already when leaving from Sorrento, where the bus goes from. This was a small shock to us, as it made everything much more complicated. Had we known this beforehand, we would rather have booked a hotel in Sorrento. We eventually got our trip to Positano and Amalfi, luckily. We have to honour Piccolo Paradiso in this regard, because they offered free shuttle service to Sorrento. Apart from the location, it was ok to stay here. The Wi-fi was not stabile at all times, and being from Scandinavia, the breakfast was too sweet and lacked salty things. The coffee was good, though. The beds were a bit hard, but ok. The surroundings were nice, with the garden, horses, chickens etc. The staff was friendly, though the communication could be a bit of a challenge. We recommend learning a bit of Italian.

    Perfect!

Quiet farmhouse retreat! The family treat you as their own. They will do whatever they can to make you feel at home and make your stay enjoyable.Set in Orchards this is a working farm which the family uses to make their own produce... jams, sauces etc.Rooms are basic but there is everything that you need and are of good size. The rooms are spotless and are cleaned thoughroly everyday. Towels every 2 days. The family provides a shuttle service into Sorrento or to the train station. As it's is a 10 to 15 minute drive into Sorrento itself.Breakfast is continental but mainly fresh produce made at the farm... fresh eggs, pastries etc. You can also pre order dinner which was also lovely and affordable.I really can't recommend the place enough I could write about the place all day. This family made me feel safe and so welcome and I will definately be back next year! Thankyou Omar, Margaret and family for a wonderful stay.

    Great location

    rating21 Aug 2017

Immersed in the Mediterranean vegetation of the hills above Salerno the place is certainly attractive and charming. Rooms are basic but comfortable. Continental breakfast is included albeit basic as well. On the positive side they serve their own jam alongside the branded one. Dinner can be arranged at fixed price per person. The choice is limited but cooking is tasty and homy. Stables with horses and cultivated fields and orchards all around make stay certainly pleasant and relaxing.Main downside of the place is the lack of an open bar with even basic items like ice-creams or drinks or even coffee in the evening. Overall good with a missed occasion to be great
