  Our experience at the Atlantic Palace hotel was terrible. It may have been a 4 star property at one time but that is no longer the case. The staff is friendly and that’s about the last nice thing I can say about the property. The restaurant is poor quality food, the jacuzzis are empty, the outdoor exercise area is rusted old equipment, there is no spa or sauna to be found, and the roof top bar is gone other than the rusted out bar table. All of this makes it sting a little when you have to pay 4.5 euro for every bottle of water (and tap water in the rooms is not drinkable), the route to downtown Sorrento isn't walkable due to lack of sidewalks or walking path, and the hotel shuttle runs at odd hours and isn’t complimentary in the evenings. We loved our time on the Amalfi coast, but hated this hotel.

  Living on Past Glory

  This hotel was probably a very nice hotel at some point in the past but has been neglected and is now run down and pretty unpleasant. The pictures they use to 'sell' the hotel are clearly old, the travellers pictures are closer to reality. The location is at the side of a very busy road and the rooms on the road side are very noisy and sitting on the balcony listening to the loud road noise is not pleasant. We were moved after 2 nights to room at the back of the hotel which was much better until the hotel decided that it was OK to cut the grass at 7:30am outside the bedroom window!They advertise a rooftop piano bar. There is no working bar and no piano on the roof top. The furnishings are old and dirty. We went up for a game of cards and had to return to our room to get some wet wipes to clean the table before we could use it. We were told drinks would be served by a waiter who would service the roof top from the ground floor bar. The first, and only time, we tested this, we were waiting 25 minutes before the waiter showed up, despite all this the views were spectacular and it is a wasted opportunity.There are two jacuzzi baths in the garden and they have clearly not been used for a very long time. They are empty and full of mould. Not a pleasant sight. This is another example of their lack of care for the appearance of the place. Why not put a cover over them so the mould is not evident?On the plus side, both rooms were clean, serviced daily with fresh towels and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom had a double shower, large wash hand basin, toilet and bidet.We went with Jet2 holidays and the experience was nothing like they describe in their brochure even some of their photos are old. The in resort staff were pretty unhelpful except for getting our room changed.The shuttle bus is useful but does not go and come back often enough. It goes to Sorrento at 9;00, 9:30, 10;00, 12:00, 15:00, 16:30, 20:00 and 20:30 and returns at 12:10, 15:15, 16:45, 18:00, 21:00, 22:00, 22:30 and 23:00. If you are booked on a trip that leaves early it is local bus or taxi. There is a good local bus service but the bus stop is on the busy road and there is no pavement to stand on. Taxis are between 25 and 30 euros one way.If you look at reviews from the back end of 2025 the management reply to complaints saying that there is a refurbishment programme planned for during the winter months, this clearly never happened and the complaints from the back end of 2025 still exist now.They say frequent entertainment in the bar but we had live entertainment in the downstairs bar one night out of 5, hardly regular. So not rooftop piano bar and no live entertainment downstairs. Not as advertised.We will not be returning to the Atlantic Palace and we wish we hadn't gone this time!

  Apologies for the delay in writing this ive just noticed my original review hasnt saved Visited tge hotel in May 2025Lovely hotel Room clean and spacious Restaurant staff fabulous Francisco the restaurant manager always made sure I had my cheese and biscuits served on a plate even when they weren't on the buffet as I dont eat sweet dessertsAll restaurant staff reception cleaners were lovely We were on the second floor pool and garden view room 207Big shout out to the 3 TUI reps helped to make our holiday memorable We cant wait to return this year hope everyone is still there

  The hotel is within walking distance of Sorento, however you have to walk along quite a scary road with no pavement for most of it. My daughter and I did it a few times as we always like to have a stroll after dinner.The atmosphere isn't very jolly or happy. All the staff apart from lovely Alessandro in the dining room seemed very serious and didn't really seem to smile.Breakfast was lovely. So much to choose. However, dinner was off a menu rather than buffet and there was often nothing that I really liked. I was also unable to pay for drinks as I went which was annoying as I had exchanged euros as didn't really want to end up with a bill at the end of the week.Room was very comfy with a massive balcony. However, we were right next to the lift so could hear that all night.It was a lovely hotel just not really for us.

  Lovely hotel!

  We had a lovely experience at the Atlantic palace. The staff were all so helpful and kind answering all of our questions about transportation and navigation. The location was convent to get to and from Sorrento. The rooms were very clean and we had a beautiful view of the ocean from our balcony. If you are going you must get the breakfast included. It was the most incredible hotel breakfast I have experienced yet. Would highly recommend!!
