    Slightly disappointing

    rating31 May 2026

Room was basic and (as others have said) dated in style but it was kept spotlessly clean and a very comfortable bed. Daily cleaning service superb. There are not many electric sockets/not conveniently placed so not easy if you need to charge multiple devices. The safety deposit box was v small - would not be large enough for an iPad or laptop so bear that in mind if you bring anything more than a kindle sized tablet. No hot water one evening/following morning but that was fixed very quickly and the bathroom had a powerful, refreshing shower. The staff on reception and in the lounge bar are really friendly and accommodating. Pool area is pleasant. Location - around 1.8 miles from Sorrento centre. It is very walkable but beware that a local taxi to/from Sorrento will cost 25 euros. Close to train station at Sant AgnelloWhat really lets this hotel down is the restaurant and food. Others have commented on the sweet breakfast. I appreciate that breakfast is often sweet in Italy and I don’t mind that. There is just way too much choice - multiple cakes/pastries/doughnuts and random items that I didn’t see anyone eat. I visited out of high season and I dread to think how much food went to waste, unless it was given away. Half board dinner options - again too many and some unappealing options - it felt like the restaurant was trying to be higher end but failing. Buffet salad items/veg looked tired and as if they’d been around before ( perhaps recycled from breakfast?) Pasta first course is safest option. Note - you are allowed to have as much bottled mineral water as you like at breakfast but no free mineral water is available in the evening. You must pay for a bottle in the restaurant. The bar will offer free tap water if you like. On my first evening I was served by a female waiter who was accommodating and friendly.Male waiters in the restaurant were less friendly. I avoided eating in the hotel for my last few days.

    Little oasis in Sant'Agnello

    rating31 May 2026

Just returned from another fantastic holiday in this hotel, have been 4 times to this place. The team are really friendly and service is great. Food delicious and rooms are very comfortable. A very relaxed small hotel with a lovely welcoming atmosphere. We will return again perhaps later this year. Ideal base to explore this area of Italy

    Perfect Hotel

    rating30 May 2026

Beautiful hotel in a great location. A short distance from the train station, then only 5 minutes on the train to Sorrento. There are plenty amenities nearby. Our room was lovely & modern with a relaxing terrace. All of the staff were very kind and welcoming.Always lots of loungers available at the pool so we never struggled to find somewhere to sit, and the pool is gorgeous with lemon trees surrounding. The food was unfortunately not to our taste. We had pizza one night which was delicious then chose to eat out the remainder of the week. There were plenty vegetarian dishes - I don’t consider myself to be picky but even i struggled with the options. The breakfast was very nice! This did not take away from our experience of the hotel at all, as it was so gorgeous and relaxing. We really enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is spacious and has a relaxed feel. It was always clean and the staff are very attentive and polite, a credit to the place. Really lovely gardens, with lemon trees, a small playground, a (very cold) pool and lots of seating that doesn’t feel crowded. Our room was a good size, with a large balcony. The furniture was old, but I quite liked that - especially the amount of storage space in the wardrobe. The bed was comfy, although my son found the additional single too narrow. The bathroom was a good size, with a few bottles of shampoos etc and hotel slippers per person. Downsides were that the aircon was hard to turn low, there was a tv, but it wouldn’t connect to Netflix, as we were told (we weren’t too bothered anyway, but it is supposed to be a feature), there was a jet bath but it didn’t work - it looked several decades old, so this was disappointing but again, not a deal breaker. There was no water on arrival and we hadn’t drank anything for almost 7 hours due to delays once we got to Naples airport. Arrived in room gasping and had to pay minibar prices for a drink of water. There was some kind of juice in reception, but it looked like fairy liquid and my son only drinks water. The hotel bar was extortionate 14 euros for a cocktail, 6 for a lager, 4 for water. But the worst thing, unfortunately, was the food. Don’t go half board, go out! You got a choice of 4 starters, mains and deserts, but it was usually pork, tiny pieces of fish, a few cubes of potato and some over-stewed veg. There was a salad bar, but not v exciting. The worst night is the gala night. All buffet, all dreadful. Even worse for kids and my son just had bread and butter. I mean at least we didn’t put on weight, but we expected a week in Italy to be full of delicious pastas, pizzas and caprese salads. No such luck. There were fresh flowers everywhere though and breakfast was ok, if you ignore the half hearted attempt to appease the Brits with sloppy scrambled eggs, chopped up hot dog sausages and no meat, undercooked, oily ‘bacon’. Nice touch with the honeycomb, but putting out all the left over deserts from the night before seemed gross.Oh and dodgy electrics in the room. Watch yourselves!
