  The UnCONVENTional hotel, Sorrento (Sant’Agnello) is a beautiful converted 18th century Convent, just outside Sorrento, we had the perfect stay here, the rooms and hotel are immaculate, breakfast just perfect, location could not be better with access to the train station a 2 minute walk from the Hotel, and one stop to central Sorrento or less than 30 minutes on foot, and a hotel transport to Sorrento which we used all week for 10 euros each, taking approximately 10 minutes. All of this was eclipsed by the friendliness and warmth shown by every single member of staff we encountered, from the first point of contact at reception we were met with polite, kind, warm and professional staff, who could not do enough, to ensure our 5 day stay was just perfect. The sympathetic conversion is just beautiful, the garden lovely with a small very natural pool. Pompeii was just 30 minutes away on the train for only £2.80 euros!Trisha and her team are just amazing, If I could give 10 stars I would, thank you all so much.   We had a fantastic stay at the Unconventional! It is a truly tranquil, cozy spot -the perfect place to rest after a busy day of sightseeing. While it is a boutique-style hotel, it felt surprisingly spacious and well-appointed in all the right ways. Our room was clean, and very comfortable.​The grounds, while compact, are really pretty and immaculately kept. It’s the perfect setting to relax in the small lounge area around the pool or having a coffee in the quaint courtyard. The staff here are a genuine credit to the hotel as well; everyone we encountered was incredibly friendly and always willing to help.​The hotel is about a 30-minute walk to Piazza Tasso. It’s a bit of a stretch, but definitely doable - we walked it three times during our stay. For an easier commute, the hotel offers a convenient shuttle service (a golf buggy!) for a flat fee per person for the duration of your stay.We frequently used the S. Agnello train station. It’s very affordable (€1.50 to Sorrento & €3.50 to Pompeii). You can purchase tickets right at the hotel reception, which makes things very easy, or use the kiosks at the stations.​The quality of the breakfast food is excellent and beautifully presented. While the items on the made-to-order breakfast menu are smaller portions, the buffet is well-stocked with plenty of cereal, pastries, cakes, cold cuts, and cheeses. We were perfectly satisfied with the included buffet options, though it’s good to know you can pay to upgrade to other menu items if you have the appetite.​We highly recommend the Unconventional as an ideal base for exploring Sorrento, Capri, Pompeii, and Mt.   A wonderful hotel experience

  I rarely write reviews of hotels but this one was so good I just had to. From the minute I arrived until the minute I left it was a great experience. Every one of the staff were super friendly and helpful, the food was good - both breakfast and the panini I had, it smelled ah-mazing (I even bought some of the diffuser oil they sell), the garden and pool area were relaxing, the view from my window overlooking the garden out to the Bay was beautiful, and the amenities were nice, including the bagged breakfast since I was unable to make breakfast service due to needing to leave early.   We had an truly unforgettable stay at this beautiful hotel. The location is ideal: peaceful and relaxing, yet convenient for reaching Sorrento’s city center and the train station, perfect for day trips to Pompeii and Herculaneum.The building, a restored ancient convent, retains all its historic charm while blending in refined, modern details. The outdoor areas are a little gem—impeccably manicured gardens and a lovely pool, perfect for recharging after a day of sightseeing.Breakfast was a real treat: rich and varied, with hot dishes made to order, and always served with great kindness.However, what truly makes this place special is the staff. Attentive, smiling, and helpful at all times, they made us feel welcomed as friends rather than just guests.It was a stay to remember, and I would recommend this hotel without hesitation to anyone looking for an experience of charm, relaxation, and sincere hospitality.   This B&B was surprising. Exceptionally clean and comfortable with a bar and excellent breakfast. The location is great. Beautiful gardens and pool. The staff were what was most memorable. Olga at the front desk was a huge help with anything I needed including helping me plan transportation to my next destination. This was a great stay in Sorrento.
