    Not a good experience...

    rating15 Oct 2025

This wasn't a 5 star hotel...I have never written a review but feel the need...The room was filled with bugs all over the walls and in the bed (pictures attached) The shower head you couldn't use it would flood the bathroom...mold all over the walls...spent 8 days and checked out to $5200.00 for 7 days not worth it...spoke to many of the quests at the pool and they were all disappointed... Luisa Zito, Direttore generale at Baia di Chia Resort Sardinia, Curio Collection by Hilton, responded to this review Dear Christine,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m truly sorry to hear that your experience fell so far short of your expectations, and I sincerely apologize for the issues you encountered during your stay. What you describe regarding the condition of the room and bathroom is absolutely not in line with our standards, and I regret that this was not properly addressed while you were here. Please rest assured that your comments have been shared with our housekeeping and maintenance teams for immediate review and corrective action.I completely understand your disappointment, especially considering the length of your stay and the expectations you had of our property. I would very much appreciate the opportunity to discuss your experience directly and to regain your confidence in us.Best regards,Luisa ZitoGuest Experience Manager

    Exceptional attitude from Adrianna

    rating28 Sept 2025

I would like to formally recognize the following team members for their outstanding service during my recent stay:Adrianna, Front Office Manager – exceptionally professional, attentive, and genuinely committed to guest satisfaction. She went out of her way to ensure we were welcomed and supported.Front Office Team – including Margritta and another colleague whose name I unfortunately missed, both of whom were equally kind, professional, and helpful.Breakfast Restaurant Team – consistently warm, attentive, and efficient, providing an excellent start to each day.Employees like Adrianna and her team set a standard of service that reflects the very best of Hilton. I strongly recommend that they be considered for recognition, whether through promotions, bonuses, or other acknowledgments, to ensure Hilton continues to retain such high-caliber talent. Luisa Zito, Direttore generale at Baia di Chia Resort Sardinia, Curio Collection by Hilton, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful review and for your kind words about our team. I’m truly delighted to hear that your stay met your expectations and that you especially appreciated the friendliness and professionalism of our staff.Your recognition of Adriana, Margherita and the breakfast restaurant team means a lot to us. I’ll be sure to share your compliments with them, as they are the best reward for the passion and dedication they bring to their work every day.I sincerely hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back soon for another memorable experience at Baia di Chia Resort Sardinia.Best regards,Luisa ZitoGuest Experience Manager

Wonderful stay, very relaxing, good food and service but resort needs updating everywhere

    rating25 Sept 2025

We visited in September 2025 as a couple and had a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing break. We particularly enjoyed the calm, quiet nature of the resort (and guests!!), which resulted in a very relaxing week on the beach, and although it is located on a hill, the staff were very prompt at transporting you to your room via the golf buggies. There were no mosquitos which was great, and our room (45) was extremely clean with a view of the lagoon. We had a half board package and thought the evening food was excellent, especially the ragu and risotto. The drinks were reasonably priced, around £35 upwards for a bottle of wine.Breakfast was equally as good, with a fine variety to suit almost everyone’s needs - we enjoyed the fizz which in our experience, some other 5* hotels don't provide. The beach is absolutely amazing, with a gentle breeze, crystal clear waters, no pebbles and lovely warm water to bathe in all day. You are allocated a bed in a row, we assumed the higher spec the room, the nearer you are to the front!Staff were always very helpful, spoke good English and assisted us whenever we needed it but............ we felt it fell short in a number of ways for a 5* hotel, particularly around the facilities which are dated in some way and need renovating:- roads around the resort need re-tarmacking in some places, with the road uneven- the path from the outside bar to the pool is unevenly paved, and my wife tripped over one of the paving stones- some slats on the wooden decking by the pool were loose and popped up when I stepped on them- the beach has no toilet (you have to hike back up the hill to the resort) or showers (again up the hill), some of the loungers were looking old and the path/steps leading down to the beach are uneven and need replacing- outside the front of the dinner/breakfast area is an old, disused, and derelict pool- in the rooms, the AV unit is the old-fashioned dial type, we had a leaking sink (quickly fixed), the top of the bin fell off and the bathroom sink didn't drain very well- the pool sunbeds are quite hard to lay on, and don't have a soft topper like the beach (but they are wider)- when you sat down outside on our balcony, the hedge was too tall, so you lost sight of the lagoon and flamingos - no bath robes were supplied in the room, so we had to request them- the free Wi-Fi was unreliable, OK at best, and not working at all in some cases. We refused to pay for the upgraded package out of principle and turned on 5G which worked much better (and cheaper)- cocktails at the bar we felt were a bit pricey at 18 Euros each- our room, and we assume all others, have adjoining doors to the next room meaning we could hear the next door's phone ring and furniture moving- the water in our toilet kept running after a main flush- salt and pepper is not supplied at dinner or breakfast tables by default (you have to ask for it)- when we stayed on the beach later, we had no running hot water on one day (around 6pm)- this is a dog friendly resort and despite all dogs behaving impeccably, it's worth noting they join their owners for lunch and breakfast in the main dining hall - at breakfast, there should be an a la carte menu – there was no soft-boiled eggs, eggs benedict etc. just omelettes which you had to order and queue for (not very long)Although these are a lot of minor points, we didn't let them distract from our wonderful, relaxing, calm time here and you will have a great holiday, but at some point, Hilton need to seriously invest and improve the facilities. Luisa Zito, Direttore generale at Baia di Chia Resort Sardinia, Curio Collection by Hilton, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you very much for taking the time to share such a detailed review. I’m truly pleased to know that you enjoyed many aspects of your stay, and I sincerely appreciate your constructive feedback on the areas where we can improve. Please rest assured that your comments will be carefully reviewed and taken into consideration, as they help us enhance the experience we offer to all our guests.I hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back soon.Best regards,Luisa ZitoGuest Experience Manager

    Break-in with no recourse

    rating24 Aug 2025

AVOID!!! While the property is beautiful, the service is that of a 1 star hotel and is UNSAFE. The night of our anniversary, we left for dinner and came back to find footprints in our room. The staff struggled to understand our situation when speaking English and kept brushing us off to the next person. When confronted in the morning, the managerial staff informed us that someone must’ve entered our room for a “routine check” because the hotel was at capacity. Absolutely nothing was done when we reached out to corporate, who informed me that all Hilton security issues are investigated by the hotel themselves… despite being the ones to commit the break in. The hotel staff spun a web of lies that we were offered an upgrade (impossible if the hotel was at capacity), that it was a routine check, and the final lie, that the staff came to fix a bathroom lightbulb. The bathroom lights worked perfectly and the footprints never stepped foot in the bathroom… complete negligence. We spent our anniversary starring at the ceiling afraid someone was going to break in. No security footage is available and they’re not willing/able to see who swipes into the rooms. AVIOD at all costs. Marco Gervasoni, Direttore generale at Baia di Chia Resort Sardinia, Curio Collection by Hilton, responded to this review Dear Guest, thank you for your review. As already explained, one of our staff entered your room for a routine check we perform every evening when the hotel is at full capacity. The fact that "nothing was done" is simply because your room did not need any maintenance. I am sorry if you feel that you have been misled. Please rest assured that our hotel is a safe and welcoming place, and our team is fully dedicated to providing the best possible experience.I hope you will consider to stay again with us in the future.Best regards,Marco Gervasoni General Manager
