Location

The resort is an oasis of peace and relaxation, thanks to the microclimate along this brief tract of coastline, nestled in a splendid 25-hectare lush, tropical garden. The resort, which is shaded by tall pines, is protected from the cold winds from the north by a chain of low mountains just up-country. The centre of Cagliari is around 40 minutes' drive away, while the villages of Nora and Pula are about 10 minutes' drive from the property. The Nora Ruins are also some 10 minutes' away. Barumini can be reached in about 2 hours' drive. The hotel is located only half an hour's drive from Cagliari Airport.

Facility

The resort has a lift and features 181 rooms. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access in public areas (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The resort has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The complex has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops, including a souvenir shop. The grounds of the resort feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional facilities include a newspaper stand. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park. Rooms

Central heating ensures that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Most units include a balcony with sea views, where guests can relax and linger a while. Rooms include a double bed. Children's beds and extra beds can be requested for younger guests. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (for a fee) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Sport

Whether in need of rest and relaxation or more activity, guests can swim a few lengths of one of the 4 outdoor pools, while children have a special swimming area just for them. For a fee, guests can also enjoy water skiing, windsurfing, jet skiing, motorboat rides, paddle boating, banana boat rides, canoeing, sailing, catamaraning, snorkelling and diving. A wide range of indoor sporting activities are also offered, for example table tennis, callisthenics and aerobics or, for a fee, a gym, billiards, bowling and squash. There is a wellness area with a spa, a hammam and a beauty salon and, for an additional fee, a sauna, a steam bath and massage treatments. Guests can enjoy a range of leisure facilities and activities, including a kids' club and a dance club.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a dining room, a breakfast room, a café, a bar and a pub. The non-smoking restaurant provides high chairs for children. Refreshing drinks at the beach bar are a perfect way to enjoy warm weather. Half board can be booked. Breakfast and dinner offer culinary delights every day. Special culinary options, such as vegetarian dishes, are also available. The complex offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    We stayed for 4 nights whilst attending the World Culinary Awards. We were warmly greeted on arrival at the La Dune reception by the lovely Sara who explained the dining options available and the complex itself and provided us with welcome drinks which we sat and enjoyed at our leisure before she personally escorted us to our accommodation.We had a lovely bungalow which was clean, and more than adequate for our needs and the arrival gift of a chilled bottle of bubbles and sweet treats were very welcome.We ate in the steak house and the pizzeria twice during our stay and were looked after by the same front of house team on all occasions who are absolutely fabulous and a credit to your hotel. Luca you were a superstar and the young waiter with the glasses you made me smile just because you were smiling! We also enjoyed pre and post dinner drinks at the wine bar and the gentleman that served us every evening was lovely. Also the gentleman that seemed to pop up at every bar when it was busy but mainly worked at the bar with the billiard table (sorry can’t remember the name of the bar) was lovely too. I have for the past 40 years worked in hospitality and still do and actually at the age of 16, my first waiting on position was working for Trust House Forte and I know how hard it is to find professional, hard working and enthusiastic people to want to work in this industry so well done to you all.     Amazing family stay

    We had an incredible stay at Le Dune hotel. On arrival at Forte Village we were upgraded to a suite and it was absolutely beautiful. It was a really good size and the bed was super comfortable. We loved the garden area with sun beds.The staff were absolutely fantastic from when we arrived. Very friendly and would help with anything we needed. The cleaning was great too, daily service and then a towel check again in the evening.The Le Dune restaurant for breakfast was amazing, the quality and variety of food was incredible. We thought the facilities were amazing, especially for children. Our little boy loved Wonderland and we spent time in there in Mario’s Village and also the train, which we loved! The buffet for the evening meal was good, good quality options and service great. Wine was included as part of half board. The only negative points were - the price of drinks was expensive, €5 for a Coke and €16-18 for a cocktail. - we ate in the steakhouse and Brazilian a l carte restaurants. The service we found in these was poor. In the Brazilian we sat for 20 minutes before anyone came over to us. In the steakhouse we ordered and for some reason the kitchen didn’t receive it, after waiting an hour we asked where our food was and then it was cooked. This was disappearing as felt the service here did not match the rest of the resort. Disappointing as the food in both restaurants was great. We would definitely return as overall was a fantastic experience. Thank you for an amazing stay!
