Location

This hotel is located in Pula, on the south-west coast of Sardinia, just 30 km from Cagliari, with its long white sandy beaches and dunes, narrow bays and transparent sea. The centre of Pula, featuring tourist attractions, is just a 5-minute walk from the accommodation. Cagliari Airport is 35 km from the hotel.

A pleasant ambience awaits guests in 26 apartments. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out.     Lovely hotel. The hotel was spotless, very friendly staff. We were in the self catered 1 bed, the room was great and the pull out bed was comfy. The kitchen could have been better equipped, be nice if they supplied even a cloth to wipe. The pool was great, the extras like the football pitch and little play area was ideal. Please replace the table tennis bats!

    We stayed here for 6 nights and loved every moment. All the staff were extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome. The rooms were spotless and cleaned thoroughly daily. The gardens and surrounding areas by the pool were also kept to a high standard. Location was perfect with the beautiful Pula square only 15 minute walk from the resort. The shuttle bus to Nora beach was such a fantastic add-on given how infrequent the buses are in the area. Breakfast was also great with a good selection for everyone. The one gripe we did have would be the amount of wasps every morning. Some mornings there would be up to 5-8 buzzing around our table. Appreciate it's a tough thing to handle but, maybe some more deterrents could be useful as the coffee smoke that the staff were using wasn't very effective.We would definitely come back if we were to visit Sardinia again.

    Exceptionally good value for money property that is walking distance to both the town centre and stunning Nora beach (although the hotel do operate several beach shuttles daily if you do not wish to make the 20 minute walk in the heat).The hotel is spotlessly clean and rooms are basic but functional with very strong (but noisy) air conditioning.All staff were friendly and helpful and I would happily stay here again.The only reason I have removed one star is the standard of food on site is average at best and very very expensive. Breakfast was adequate but the lunch menu was poor and costly (9 euros for fries which are 2 euros in town) Also the bar is not continually manned so sometime we would wait a while (20 mins) before a barman was allocated to serve us.

    Amazing hotel

    The hotel, facilities and staff are amazing. We were a party of 8 (2 x families of 4) and we all loved our stay. The pool is the heart of the hotel and really is excellent. Never an issue getting sun loungers for 8 of us and it was peak season too. The hotel is immaculate and well maintained by a very hard working team. The gardens are beautifully kept. The reception team all speak many languages and were so helpful and friendly.We ate there several times for breakfast, lunch and evening meals and the food was of a high standard.Although not an issue with the hotel, we did have a few challenges (or maybe helpful observations for future guests?):Food shops - the choice is limited, but the closest (Silas) had most of what we needed.Restaurants in the town - about a 20 min walk. A challenge was that due to being peak season and an Italian bank holiday during our stay, it proved difficult to find restaurants in the main town square. We appreciated we were a large group, but we did try to book early in our stay for remaining evenings, but were told in almost all cases that they were fully booked for weeks. Being honest we sensed that the restaurants in the main square just wanted Italian customers. As a result we found restaurants slightly away from the main square. I would recommend Monang Steak house (see separate review).Beaches - they were extremely busy (again noting the Italian holiday) with sunbeds being really expensive to hire (around 80 - 100Euros for 4). The hotel do a shuttle to Nora, the beach is pleasant enough. It takes about 20mins to walk there. Chia is worth a visit, but note as it is a nature reserve it has no running water, so no toilets. You have to walk about 500m back to the car park area where you need to pay to use the facilities.Carhire - we arranged car hire through the hotel ahead of the holiday. The car hire company let us down (no fault of the hotel) and we decided to not have a car in the end. On balance that proved to be fine. It would have been useful for some food shopping, but we made do. We decided to use taxis to get us to different beaches and this turned out to be a lot cheaper than having the car. It did mean we didn’t explore the area, but with the heat we were happy to be by the pool.All in all a great holiday. I’ve reflected on if I’d return and I think the answer is “no”. The hotel is excellent (hence the 5 star score), but as we’re constrained by school holidays we couldn’t return at another time to avoid the general busyness in the wider resort / beaches that was challenge at times , Marketing at Lantana Resort Hotel & Apartments, responded to this review Good morning from the Lantana Resort!Thank you for choosing us for your holiday.     Even better than it looks

    This is an absolutely stunning hotel, the photos don’t do it justice. The grounds are immaculate, with flowers and fruit trees growing everywhere, but in a very manicured way. The pool is crystal clear and never particularly busy, with plenty of sun loungers. We stayed here in August as a family of four and they have a small playground, putting green and football area on site, so adds something a bit extra for the kids - although we could hardly get them out of the pool. The food in the hotel is good, but the town of Pula is a short walk away with plenty of restaurants. There’s a shuttle service down to the local beach too. Huge recommendation for the Lantana, such a lovely, peaceful place to spend your holiday.
