    NOT 4-STAR...

    rating29 Oct 2025

GOOD:A lovely little building indeed, with a helpful owner who even booked me a taxi for my early morning flight - thank you.The location is outstanding in terms of getting around, very close to everything EXCEPT the roman ampitheatre, which is a 25 minute walk uphill! Two lovely members of staff who did the cleaning and even painting / renovation during the day, always smiling.BAD:This is NOT a 4-star hotel, for the following reasons:Breakfast - I have no idea as to how it could be described as "superb" - no hot food at all, just cakes, a toaster, croissants, cold meats, fruit etc.Room - the smallest double room I have stayed in for years, with paper thin walls (I could hear snoring from the next room!). I dread to think how 2 people could manage in a room so small.Furniture - one chair and a desk that should be in the tip it has so many scratches. Really couldn't relax at all when I wanted to read or be online for a while.Noise - I could not believe the amount of drunken, noisy shouting as late as 3am during my 2 night stay and I have come back home wrecked. I would have moved hotel had my stay been longer it was that bad - and that's at the end of October..Tea + coffee facilities - a kettle and sachets should be in any hotel in 2025, never mind a 4-star hotel.Atmosphere - none, like a morgue at night. I hated coming back, especially anticipating the noise.Sorry, but I couldn't wait to get out

My kids keep talking about the delicious pastries and cappuccinos – they were a huge hit!I would also like to thank the housekeeping team for their always-smiling faces and professionalism. They made everything so comfortable and easy for us.We are extremely happy with our stay and will definitely recommend your hotel to others. We hope to return soon!Thank you so much!

Chic boutique B &B in Cagliari perfectly located with excellent hospitality

    rating03 Oct 2024

Fantastic place to stay. I would say the location, in the centre of town but just off the main dining/bar street is a major attraction. It's very easy to get to, just 8 minutes walk from the train station. The train journey costs 1.30 euros for a single and is easy to navigate - don't bother with an airport transfer or taxi. Our welcoming and helpful hostess, Monica spoke very good English and ensured we felt supported as non-Italian speakers in Sardinia. Her recommendations for restaurants were excellent. We were allowed to leave our baggage in reception as we arrived earlier than check in and stayed later than check out. This service was invaluable. The B&B is impeccably clean, thanks to the lovely couple working there. Breakfast was good. The bathroom was only recently completed and very modern and stylish. The bed was very comfortable. It can be a little noisy from the bar at the end of the street, but the windows and shutters provide excellent soundproofing. The air conditioning worked very well. I'd love to return someday.

    Very welcoming

We stayed for 3 nights at this hotel. The host made us feel very welcome. The hotel is a typical city hotel situated very close to the historical landscapes of Cagliari. The breakfast was very good and most of all Sa Domu Cheta is excellently clean.

Correct stay, correct owner, correct location but not for early birds

    rating12 Aug 2019

Well located old building, room just fine, good bed, clean. Quite a few steps to carry bags so keep it in mind, also the fact that breakfast is available and probably quite good ;in its full form. We had to leave for the airport at 7:30 so had to fight a bit to get anything. Unlike in three other B&Bs we have tried in Cagliari, here breakfast is served to tables and depend on the (overorked) lady's availability (8:00). At the end we got a coffee, piece of cake, water and a yoghurt in a somewhat icy atmosphere. That said, the owner is a gentleman trying his best to manage the high number of guests with minimal personnel costs. The pace is well located very close to restaurants, bars and local night life. Somewhat noisy for that reason but that did not bother our family fo four.
