    I stayed at this hotel on my own for a few days as my husband was hospitalised. The staff went out their way to help in any possible way they could. Every single member of staff couldn’t have done enough and it was no trouble to them. The room was beautiful and spotless clean. Lovely towels and robes. I used room service as I was on my own and the food was delicious. The breakfast was a lovely choice. I cannot recommend this hotel enough would definitely return under figgy circumstances

    We arrived late at this hotel and the condition of the room was really bad.There were dirty hairs in the bidet upon arrival before we used the bathroom that did not belong to us - and shows it was not properly cleaned prior. In addition, the linens were stained - 2 pillowcases are dirty with stains. And the sheet also has a stain. It was disgusting.When I messaged the night staff to report this, they tried to gaslight and blame me by saying I should have contacted them earlier to switch rooms. I told them we were very tired and discovered all this at 10:30pm - and had a very early flight to catch the next day and we were too exhausted to go through the process of switching rooms - just needed to get to sleep as it was extremely late already. Regardless, that degree of dirtiness was really appalling and unacceptable. The condition of the room should not be like that for anyone. They kept insisting that the solution was to switch rooms and I kept saying that wasn’t the point - and that also was not an option for us as it was already very late and would have added too much time and hassle to our already late night when we were already not going to get enough sleep. The reality and fact is that this room was not up to standard and that is the fault of the hotel and I expected them to take responsibility for that and they didn’t. The cleanliness and condition was absolutely not acceptable. The solution I requested was for a refund for this stay but they refused. I waited patiently for several weeks for the manager to get back to me and in the end they were unwilling to accommodate this. The person writing this response is the Night shift Receptionist, who read your messages on the booking extranet (which we received via email) after 11 pm in which you complained. In my responses to your (your first message was at 22:24), I asked you why you had not directly called the Reception, in order to resolve the problem immediately, and I also informed you that I would arrive on the floor to give you the keys to a room adjacent to yours, on the other hand you responded immediately to my requests, reiterating that it was too late, but evidently awake and reactive after 11pm, and I repeated to you my questions at the checking out, around 6am.If there's a problem in a room, it must be vacated immediately, in order to solve the problem and allow the Guest a good rest, but the choice to stay there was yours, we found a solution immediately, but evidently you only wanted a refund.The next time you stay in an Hotel, and you are not satisfied, communicate your dissatisfaction immediately.Kind regards,Nicola.

    Perfect for one-night stopover

    As we were only looking for a hotel near the airport for one night, this suited our purposes, perfectly. The reception staff were great, the room clean although no TV in any language other than Italian.     Over priced and over rated

    A 3 star hotel at best posing as a 4 star hotel. The over priced small room smelled of cigarettes, the laundry service was unavailable despite it being advertised (they outsource the laundry to a 3rd party so there is not way to get your clothes back in time if you are staying less than 3 nights), the hotel is sandwiched between 2 gas stations about 5km away from downtown Cagliari. The free breakfast was ok I suppose but they rush you and usher you to leave promptly by 10am sharp.The staff was friendly sar hot, Albergatore at Sardegna Hotel Suites & Restauran, responded to this review Good morning,We are very sorry to read that the feedback you left is one star even though it describes several very positive things, including our rich breakfast buffet, the hotel's excellent location for visiting the city or being close to the airport and the kindness of the staff.     A very welcoming hotel

    We ended up in the Sardegna Hotel due to illness and a bit of good luck. I’m so glad we did!We were visiting Cagliari on May 2nd as a stop on a 19-night cruise. I felt unwell and, on returning to the ship, was diagnosed as being in need of a pacemaker. I was whisked off to hospital, Gwen, my partner, to the Sardegna Hotel. To be in an unfamiliar, foreign city in such circumstances is a bit disconcerting to say the least but, on learning of our situation, the hotel staff looked after Gwen really well. After an incident where an ATM didn’t pay out, one of the hotel staff, Francesco, came in on his day off to accompany Gwen to the bank and translate for her. After three days in hospital I was able to join Gwen for a further five nights and experience for myself the quality of the Sardegna Hotel and the friendliness and helpfulness of its staff. The hotel is smart and clean, the public areas comfortable, the bedrooms spacious, light and airy and the bathrooms immaculate. The breakfast offers a wide choice of hot and cold food and is available from 7am - 10am, catering for early and late risers alike. We ate in the hotel restaurant on all but one evening and enjoyed excellent food, beautifully presented. We left Cagliari eight days after arriving, determined to return to the Sardegna Hotel.
