The strikingly elegant conference hotel is set amidst beautifully tended gardens and, facing out over the lake and Borromean Island at the foot of the Alps, enjoys a wonderful view. Just 300 m from the centre of Stresa, guests will find restaurant, bars, pubs and the train station in the immediate vicinity. The beach and Lake Maggiore are also just a 2-minute walk away.

253 non-smoking rooms, including 5 suites, 17 single rooms and 197 double rooms, are located on 4 storeys and can be reached by lift. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access (for a fee) is provided in public areas. The hotel offers a number of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air.     We stayed here with a bus tour group. This was a very nice hotel that seems to have been remodeled recently. Quiet, clean, functional rooms. Close enough to easily walk to "downtown" Stressa. Great views of the lake. The buffet breakfast was very extensive -- just about anything you could think of to eat for breakfast.

    We stayed here as part of an organised excursion, this would not have been the hotel of my choice and not one that I would recommend too. After reading the reviews of the hotel, I contacted them to ensure that we had a refurbished room, we had to pay over £300 extra for £3 nights, it was the end of a celebration holiday so it was worth it and the room was beautiful, compared to other people in our trip who’s rooms were poor. The constructive reviews on here I found to be correct, the hotel is desperately in need of refurbishment which should be completed in 2026, it’s really dated. We had bed and breakfast, and the breakfast choices were adequate. On the positive side, the hotel staff were friendly and the hotel was located just 10min walk from the town, the room was lovely, after you pay for the refurbished ones. Would I stay again, most definitely not and I did contact Imagine Cruising before our departure and I will be contacting them again.

    We have been coming to Stresa for almost 20 years. We have stayed at many hotels and this is the one we have been coming back to, due to the friendliness of the staff and service level. The refurbished and modernised room is a great enhancement and full refurbishment is coming next year and looking forward to another stay next year

    We have been coming here for 15 years, it is by far the best hotel in Stresa, while the hotel is really nice, the people are always exceptional, always trying to make our visit the best it can possibly be. If I can offer my advice, you can walk to town Stresa and get ripped off for meals at some of the local restaurants (not all of course but I’ve been to a lot of them) or alternatively if you can have a truly amazing experience dining at the hotel with incredible food and service.

    A tale of two hotels

    There is much to like about the hotel. Stunning location on the lake , lovely pool and lots of seating albeit dreadful artificial grass used all over the grounds which is too hot to walk on and environmentally poor and unnecessary. I believe they are refurbishing rooms which should make a difference. We stayed in room 688 which was in some awful annex at the back of the hotel reached by a slow and bizarre lift. Room was dated with no space and shower that you could not even stand up in. Paper cups in the room and overall not befitting the image they portray . The gym was out of the 1950s. I struggle to think of a worse hotel room that I have stayed in for many years. We got a good rate through opodo but it was clearly obvious they had given us one of the worst rooms available.We will not be back. Much better places to stay here.
