A truly lovely hotel with very kind staff, a great breakfast, beautiful views, and a cozy spa

We stayed at the hotel for two days, and it was a really lovely place. The staff were so kind, the breakfast buffet was very nice, and the view was truly beautiful. The spa area was cozy and relaxing. Highly recommended! Unforgettable!

    rating06 Oct 2025

I wish we could visit every year! The staff was really excellent and so kind. We had booked two Double Rooms w/Balcony in the Belvedere building. In one room, my parents and son (there is an arm chair that can turn into a bed with a small surcharge). In the other room, myself & husband and other son (arm chair bed). Our toddler slept between us (the bed was quite huge). So overall, we fit 7 of us perfectly. This could not have been done so well without the help of the staff (I believe "Claudia" was the one who helped me with my booking). It worked out perfectly and was very comfortable. Our rooms were on the second floor and the prettiest view (I still dream about the view even months later). The hotel was not super duper luxury, but almost there. It was really lovely and charming. Despite having a very small shower, the rest of the room and bathroom were great. Very clean and well thought out. You can tell they care about efficiency. The restaurant was great (although the included breakfast was only decent). And the grounds itself are stunning. My "elderly" father was very impressed that they put the patio door/window shade outside the actual glass, so as to better prevent the room heating up from the sun. Somehow parking worked out every time (even though it appeared like there wouldn't be any space). And we definitely needed a car because this hotel is not walking distance to the town. Upon departure, they gave us little jars of local jam. So sweet. I put the name "Alessandro" in my notes... but I cannot remember why except to assume this staff member helped us and made our stay enjoyable. Thank you! Strange

    rating31 Jul 2025

Very strange hotel. Let’s start with the good things. Matteo in the front desk made a welcome as no other. We felt like king and queens! Nicola created a superb wine tour to great wineries and with a lunch stop that turned out to be our best meal in our 3 weeks. Actually all staff we talked to in the front desk was great! Every little thing we asked, they did. Absolutely a 5 star front desk. We had a junior suite with our own jacuzzi on the balcony! A bottle of bubbles was complementary in the room. So it all started out great! Then….the aircon was horrible bad and placed on the floor!?!? This aircon did not help anything and we just had 27degC outside. Imagine being here if it was 35?!?There is an automatic light that is motion sensitive over the minibar…why?? Everytime I just put my arm outside the bed during the night it came on!! Not so pleasant. Then we come to the small details. You have paper mugs in the bathroom, you have a big bottle of body and hair wash with a very male fragrance, no lotion, no conditioner, all very two star hotel. Every hotel we been to before have had espresso machines in the room. Italians are picky with their coffee and so am I. But here you have water and bad coffee. All those details tells you - cheap hotel. Then we come to the very bad. The restaurant. I thought I could eat everything. But their menu did not have anything that felt ok. Example of two starters..salmon with toast and butter….hash browns with cabbage and speck salad…so weird. Like a mix of an American breakfast with a German touch. Breakfast was about the same quality. Not a fresh squeezed juice, big cuts of cucumber and tomato and I had the worst omelette. I ask for a tomato and cheese omelette and they use cheese that do not melt… Then you have the interior that does not make the feeling go 5 star either. Big, dusty plastic chandeliers in the ceiling with 70’s feeling of curtains. It was just very tacky. So a 5 star front desk with cheap detail rooms and a very tacky restaurant with the weirdest menu I have seen.

Exceptional hospitality, well staffed and prepared to make your stay as good as it can be! We’re always super impressed when we visit Villa Madruzzo— seems that food, service, amenities only improve as so many places seem to diminish over the years. The location is stunning, peaceful and romantic. Rooms are well kept, super comfy beds and balconies with lovely views. Choose one with a private hot tub! The spa is clean and inviting. Dinner I neither of the gorgeous dining rooms is absolutely delicious and breakfast delightful! Best place to stay in the area around Trento!!
