  Perfect hotel!

  My mother and I booked 2 rooms for 6 days in August. The hotel is perfect! It is gorgeous and calming. The rooms are beautifully designed as are all of the public spaces. The rooms are extra quiet because of an ingenious design that has them set back from the hallway. The location is perfect. The staff was great, before and during the trip. Breakfast is good, with both sweet and savory. I felt like I was in heaven for a week. Recommend without hesitation!   Smart, stylish and very comfortable

  This hotel is smart, stylish and in a fantastic city centre location. Although it is surrounded by busy streets our room which faced a pedestrianised area was quiet. The decor is fresh and the rooms were spotlessly clean and beds were very comforatable. The staff were all extremely helpful and spoke good English. The breakfasts were good quality with excellent fresh coffee, fresh fruit, fruit juice, cereals, fresh bakery items and a range of meats and cheeses as well as simple cooked options such as omelette. The air conditioning worked well which was important as outdoor conditions were hot during our stay. We ate in the hotel restaurant one evening which served a small menu of good quality foods. The only small criticism we had was that wifi signal in our room (201) was very weak. We stood in the corridor to connect properly when needed.   The hotel has a short-time parking bay just around the corner from the entrance. The check-in staff was friendly and helpful. We had booked an apartment. We understood, that they have several apartments in various buildings. Our apartment was roomy with a safe, kitchenette, table and chairs, washing machine, iron and ironing board. The dark curtains and the air conditioning helped block out the sun and keep the temperature reasonable. The shower looked promising with all of its attachments, but only one attachment was working unfortunately. The breakfast was served in the hotel and included a small buffet of selected items. Hot eggs dishes could be ordered as well. It filled our needs perfectly. The hotel is centrally located and we would return.   Convenient to Cruise Terminal!

  The staff are very friendly and checkin was quick and easy. Our stay included a full breakfast (see photos). There is a breakfast continental buffet and food to order - both included with the breakfast. There are some premium options for a small fee; but you will get plenty with the free portions. The bacon was exceptional. The reception desk is a bit hidden; when entering it’s in a small alcove to your right. The room was very comfortable with a king size bed slightly firm which seems to be common for European hotels. Also as typical, you need to insert your room key (or any plastic card) to turn the lights /power on to the room. Expect it to be slightly warm (summer) when entering the room but it will cool off quickly once you insert the card upon entering the room. There is a stock mini fridge. A natural (non friz) bottle of water is provided along with coffee and tea with a hot water maker. Plenty of storage for hanging items and suitcase storage. As I have found with most Italian hotels, it is hard to find English speaking channels in the TV but they are there. But get out and enjoy the streets rather than TV! Lots of restaurants and shops. Our favorite ristorante was Caffe Eppinger (see separate review) and for Gelato (according to a local - best in the area is Zampollis - and we agree! (see separate review).
