NO AC- Beware!!

NO AC- Beware!!NO A/C for the entire stay! This hotel is a big disappointment. Buyer beware, you have been warned!I know all the reviews are raving but this review will not rave about the terrible experience from check-in to check-out. I was there from May 22-25, 2026, my travel agent booked it.This building is not in the main hotel, its down the street around the corner from the main hotel. If you ask for any help like getting the AC to work, it's an effort for someone to show up and know how to fix it. First, when I checked in, the last guest forgot to return the keys. I was given the managers keys, with a catch, the front desk wanted the keys back to make a copy. I didn't receive any apologies from the hotel about this inconvenience or for the AC not working. The only one who cared was the housekeeper because she couldn't get into the room to clean without the manager keys.Second: NO AC!! I was there for 3 nights with the avg temp around 85-87 degrees. They sent the tech, I was told to wait 15 minutes maybe it will turn on, no luck! He did bring a fan on the last night.Third: Breakfast was included in the rate consists of a basket of 2 pieces of bread, 2 muffins, one very small jar of mixed fruit and coffee if you can get a server to wait on you. The waitstaff lacks training. This was the continental buffet. I asked the waiter if I can order eggs yes but it's an additional 6 euros. Breakfast was 30 euros!!Fourth: After a hot day and no AC in the room, I wanted to take a shower before going to bed, how about a cold shower! No warm water only cold, it was one way to cool down but not exactly what I was thinking!I told my travel agent about my terrible experience in a very expensive hotel. My travel agent wrote a formal letter of compliant to the hotel manager asking for a price adjustment on the bill, as of today, June 1, 2026, my travel agent has yet to get a return phone call or email.I hope this helps you think twice about booking your stay, find another hotel. Very strange experience, all was good until we got back into the apartment after dinner. Climbed into bed and suddenly one of the hotels employees just walked in, this was after 21h00. We were on the 5th floor and there are only 2 apartments on that floor so when this guy walked in unannounced we got quite a fright. He realised we were there and he just turned around and walked out.I immediately phoned the reception and raised my concern with this break in. Was his intention to find my wife on her own or to steal from us. The official response from the hotel was that he wanted to look at the bedding. Next morning when we checked out, NOT a word from the hotel. No explanation further or an apology. I could not sleep further as I was worried he wil come back, so I CANNOT recommend this place to anybody as it is not safe. Pity, as the place was quite comfortable ?? Perfect setting in city centre- a BnB setting- reception + F&B in a very nearby other hotel

Perfect for a city centre situation, this hotel is under the management of another hotel, the continental. Actually this hotel offers just the rooms ( all suites) in another building. A very nice setting. Parking service is under the responsibility of a valet company. Access to the hotel is not easy as the hotel is situated in a walking street. The apartment was very nice and has all amenities. A surprise with a jacuzzi bathtube. Air conditioning is average(old system + a window not closing perfectly).The building architecture is beautiful and there is a terrace all around the building for the apartment.Breakfast and reception in the other hotel. Very nice setting with waiter service. Not buffet. Globally worth the expense.

Great location, very comfortable bed and quiet. However this is a suite for short term stays and as such it is missing logical things it should haveThere is a washing machine but no soap. A dishwasher and kitchen but no soap, sponge or dish towel. Are you supposed to buy all that in full sizes at the store for a few days use? These suites are owned by the Hotel around the corner where you check in and have breakfast. It seems like the Management think these are hotel ROOMS and treat them that way. You may as well save the extra cost and just stay in the hotel for all the use you get from the kitchen etc.The staff is very nice at the hotel.

Amazing experience! We felt like we stayed in a private apartment - we got upgrade to a "room" that actually was a suite with separate bed room, fully equipped kitchen, large bathroom, and 7(!!!) small balconies. All worked well, was clean, the bed was super comfortable... we would have loved to stay longer! Valet parking worked very well (since the hotel and its dependence in which our apartment was is in a pedestrian zone there´s no way to park your car), staff was friendly, and the bar for morning espresso and aperitivo just in front of our door. It can´t get any better!
