    The only reason less than 5 stars is because air conditioning continued to give us trouble. After a third complaint, a fellow came to the room and changed the filter. It began to work far better, though we when we went out for the day we came back to the room warm again. After calling the desk, it was turned down and cooled sufficiently once more… the room is beautiful, though the carpet could do with a good cleaning - wore slippers throughout the room stay. Breakfast was nice. Outstanding fluffy towels and robes. Excellent water front location. Would definitely stay here again.     Grand hotel with great location and a first rate restaurant

    We found this to be an excellent place to stay in Trieste. It is located on the sea front immediately opposite the cruise terminal (which was great as we were catching a cruise!) It dates from the days of the great elegant hotels and retains that flavour. Our room was large and very comfortable with a sea view and staff were very helpful. Add to this a first rate restaurant where we had lunch on both days of our stay and of course a hearty breakfast and we came away delighted with our choice.     A truly beautiful hotel in the premier location in Trieste. This is our second stay in the hotel and it is as good as ever. Bedrooms are beautifully appointed, with every comfort you could need and stunning views over Trieste bay. Staff are a little reserved, not overly friendly, but always kind and helpful where needed. If you plan to visit Trieste, this is absolutely the best place to stay!     Without a doubt, the best hotel in the Friuli region. An impeccably maintained property, with flawless rooms offering breathtaking sea views.
