  Great value, warm welcome, characterful rooms

  Lovely characterful hotel with a warm welcome. Room was comfortable and clean with a nice outlook and enticing you’d need. Breakfast included and very good with plenty of choice. It’s not modern but it has bucket loads of character. And is great value.

  Very comfortable, simple and extremely well located in the centre of the city. It is no more than 4 minutes walk to the main entrance into Porta Nuova station. This hotel was the perfect place for our one-night stop-over in Turin. There are plenty of restaurants very close, one of them run by the hotel itself. Recommended.

  You get what you pay for, this is true of this quite cheep hotel, simple but clean, close to airport bus station and train station. Check that the ac is working before booking, in parts of the year it may be very warm in Turin.

  This is when I need to be an undercover hotel critic for an international magazine. Gordon Ramsay would certainly have a field day with the Restaurant Manager here. I recently stayed at Hotel Due Mondi in Turin. I cannot recall a time when the service of a particular staff member has been so horrible and a manager so mean that I have left a meal half eaten, packed my things and left the hotel altogether. I’d rather take the loss.The hotel location is excellent, rooms are okay, reception staff fairly friendly. Everything is fair UNTIL you get to the restaurant downstairs where they serve breakfast. This lady looked to be the restaurant manager. Yelling and growling at her staff who are busy working, side-eyeing guests (or perhaps just me). She snarled, she sighed, she pointed and raised her voice at me. She yelled at one of her other staff because of where I sat, then yelled again at me. If looks could kill, she’d have put me in an early grave. I sat at a free table for 4 because I had my computer to work on one side, and breakfast on the other side. The other tables available were too small for me to be able to work/eat. I came at a time not too busy with only 3 more couples dining. Plenty more tables available should more people, or an entourage arrive in the next 20 minutes (how long I inteded to be there). I just counted how many hotels (3-5 star), hostels even mountain huts I have stayed at over the past 10 weeks across Europe. Put it this way, I have stayed at enough to have purchased a decent car – certainly enough to have a clear understanding of poor service. In summary:Her service wasn’t just poor, she was horrible and mean.I advised reception - not even an apology. On a positive note. I saved myself a few calories!!I'll be booking the hotel directly adjacent to Hotel Due Mondi upon my return.

  Adequate For Two Night Stay

  I recently stopped at the Hotel Due Mondi for two nights whilst visiting Turin for a football match.The hotel is very centrally located, with the Porta Nuova train station one block away and the airport shuttle bus stop across the road on Piazza Carlo Felice.Being at the cheaper end of the scale for Turin accommodation, the hotel was adequate for my two-night stay in a single room.
