    Fabulously appointed room in a comfortable, well-run hotel. Clean, neat as a pin, very helpful and informative staff, lovely breakfast and....the BEST BED ever with the nicest, softest sheets! I want some for our home!!The pictures don't really do the hotel justice..the rooms are absolutely lovely for what is really not a big locale. Could not ask for more in a hotel, and makes many others look shabby and underwhelming by comparison.The breakfast was well-handled with a barista making the caffe, cappuccino etc...an effective and well-rounded breakfust buffet and a surprisingly good restaurant experience (we arrived late and tired and had an outstanding risotto!).But the best was the bed. Wow. Talk about comfortable and with lovely covers and sheets. Very pleasurable stay and within only a few minutes of all the good places in Alba. The townspeople seemed eager to serve in shops, and took the time to do so well and attentively. This was easily matched by hotel staff. Would happily stay here again; highly recommended.

    I was glad to have chosen this hotel in this little town of Alba. It is at 5 minutes by foot from the center and the personnel and the rooms are amazing. Very confortable and clean. I would return for sure.The only flaw is the breakfast that is included in the price and that we can't reduce if we don't take it.

    Drove up to the spacious entrance, family and dog. Stopped and within moments a gentleman came out to ask if we were staying. With our yes to the question he immediately brought a trolley for our luggage and then explained how to get into the underground private car park ( incidentally which was clean dry and spacious for modern cars, ours being quite large). We had a suite and one superior room for the rest of the family. The suite balcony enormous ( perfect for summer). We ordered some sparkling local wine to have as an apéro in the suite before dinner as it was bitter cold. Served when we wished with local olives and the regions famous hazelnuts ( the area is where Nutella comes from). The rooms were quiet calm and warm, luxurious bathrooms with more thick towels than we could ever need. Basically just excellent. The next morning a very good breakfast staffed by efficient calm people who replenished everything all the time on the buffet. Coffee made to order by a barista was as one expects in Italy full of flavour deep and fulfilling with that signature aroma that only the best coffee has.All the staff we interacted with were polite efficient and charming, one person stood out as world class a gentleman called Bruno who met us on arrival. In all our travels he stands out as one of the very best people we have ever met in an hotel. So well done Bruno and well done Hotel Calissano for having him on your team. Next time we wish to stay in Alba we have no hesitation to book this hotel again. Incidentally the Saturday morning street market for clothes is well worth a visit.Bravo Hotel Calissano.

    Comfortable hotel with nice and clean rooms. Located near the railway station and the center of Alba (just a couple of minutes by foot). Lovely breakfast for being in Italy. Lots of good things to choose from. Hard beds but that is common in Italy.

    Very nice hotel a short walk from the city centre with its restaurants, cafes and bars. Very convenient indoor parking and nice front desk staff (Englisg speaking). Rooms a little dated but nice beds and large bathroom. Good breakfast with fine selection.
