    A big joke in the restaurant

    I stay for 1 night with my wife. I use to go on accor hotel for my job, visited a lot of there hotel over the world and I got the status of diamond member.The room is big enough but there is only dew electrical plug. The coffee machine cord is too short to be used with the dedicated plug, we need to put it on the floor, or you disconnect something on the desk. The doir have a gap, so from the corridor we can see if the light is switch on or not. And when there is moise on the corridor your room is noisy. We are in a 4 starts hotel...The restaurant now. In the lift you see what look like the restaurant dish, in the restaurent it is not match. We order 2 burger 1 glace of red wine and 1 glace of white wine. The white wine was good, I never receive my red one but a rosé wine, The 1st burger arrive fast.. the 2nd arrive 30 minutes later after i ask 3 times... The last time I was very angry, a cutomer who arrive after me get his burger before me. After that the minute after i had my burger. It was good but not very good. The restaurant was not full 10 table maximum.

    Novotel brand is really not anymore "value", rather "entry". Good points: well located outside of the city, easy access, no noise, parking available.Bad points: everything is "low level": bathroom is very tiny, hot water is not stable (sometime hot, sometimes cold), lifts are very slow, breakfast is poor (if you arrive late like 1 hour before closing, there is no eggs anymore), no individual A/C in the room, so it was too hot. You see that this hotel is purely driven by cost reduction. Problem: the prices are still the prices of a Novotel, which means rather high for the area.

    The hotel was busy and it felt a bit claustrophobic at the very slow checkin. We arrived not too late but I think we got the final space in the car park (more of that later). It was not the fault of the receptionist that checkin was slow, and she was very pleasant despite there being no help from colleagues with the queue. The lifts were regularly busy and the corridors noisy. The AC did not really work and was noisy in its efforts to do nothing. The underground parking is hard to access if you have a long car and ours scraped the floor going in and out. I think this knocked out an indicator bulb that had to be fixed.

    DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL IF YOU ARE A SOLO FEMALE TRAVELLER.The neighbourhood is not safe: there are prostitutes, police, guys on loud motorbikes using roads as racing circuit on the short walk to the public transport. During the day it was OK, but at night is was definitely NOT safe.In the hotel: Noisy and ineffective air con that spits out dust and dirt, broken wifi, loud music by pool as of 7.30am ( although the pool opens at 10.30). My room was not serviced despite leaving the door tag requesting it to be so.The restaurant was buffet only, EU25, which was super expensive if you're only a little hungry. The staff were friendly but appeared to be under stress, so the vibe wasn't great either.Avoid at all cost.

    Not as good as we had hoped for. Arrived to be told that the restaurant was only serving a buffet dinner. Unfortunately this was very limited and not replenished. Restaurant staff were lovely but not enough staff to cope with how busy the hotel was This is obviously an older hotel and it shows in the rooms. Air Con struggled and in 30 degree heat this lead to an uncomfortable night.
