  Beautiful hotel in Cogne Valley.

  Love this hotel! The rooms are spacious, and have a gorgeous view of the scenic valley, and mountains in the distance. It is only a 5 minute walk to the little town, where you can get sports apparel, meals, souvenirs and everything else. The staff if very accommodating- they have lots of common areas to hang out in, and a nice bar. The restaurant is wonderful with an actual salad bar (I crave vegetables when I travel) and a nice choice of meals. Vittorio presides over the dining room, filling up coffee, clearing plates and keeping everyone happy. He’s there for dinner and breakfast- and wants you to be happy. Unlike many hotels in the area they actually have scrambled eggs and boiled eggs- not just the cakes and sweetbreads (carb-city) that most buffets have.The only thing I would improve about this hotel is the temperature of the “spa”. The big spa which could hold 20 people, is barely warm. Not hot at all. You get chilly sitting in there. I heard that the outdoor “hot tub” was warmer, and it is, but still just warm, not hot like in the US. Not sure what is going on here, but they should have hot water, not just a little bit warm, if they’re calling it a spa. (My only complaint, otherwise the place is wonderful).

  We have been going to this hotel for several years now and it continues to be outstanding. The team working there is dedicated to providing the best possible service. They are all delightful, friendly and helpful. The food is always delicious and the surrounding countryside is stunning.

  I very much enjoyed my three day stay.. The hotel is very comfortable and set in a beautiful location. I made the most of the spa and the treatments - which are excellent. The restaurant is great - food was very very good. The staff are attentive and friendlyThe scenery is just staggering and tyhere are many walks

  As Ive just returned from my 14 th visit to this hotel and as a visitor of other hotels in Cogne, I can categorically state that La Madonina is the best place to stay in the valley de Cogne. The food is outstanding and plentiful, The maitre D’ is always cheerful and attentive, the girl waiters are little rays of sunshine, the Spa is excellent and spacious with staff who know their craft. I recommend all the treatments but for me, a body scrub followed by a massage by Anika is the best; she sorts out all my ailments in a short visit but book early. I cannot sing the praises of this little gem loud enough but beware, once bitten you will have to keep on returning to get your shot of happiness. Luckily, it is not a costly business; very reasonable prices.

  The Best Hotel in Cogne! Don’t go anywhere else this is the BEST!

  If you are coming from outside of Italy and want to sample great Italian cooking and amazing mountain landscapes I can think of no better hotel, let me give you a little run down :Parking:Unlike many hotels in Cogne where parking can be a nightmare trying to find a place in the cobble stone narrow roads. Parking here is extremely easy, it’s also straightforward to reach by car and the hotel has ample parking space for guests.Location:You could not design a hotel with a better location, within 15 minutes of stepping outside the door of your hotel you can literally be in the top of the mountains. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the cable car that will lead you into the middle of the beautiful wilderness in less than 15 mins from stepping outside. If you prefer to do some shopping in the town square it’s a gentle 10 mins strolling into the heart of Cogne.Food:Each Region of Italian has its own great selections of food. Nowhere in Cogne will you find a better hotel to find genuine Val D’Aosta cuisine.Relax:After a mountain walk there is nothing better than getting the Jacuzzi to unblock the muscles then a session in the sauna and then relaxing listening to music and gazing at the mountain view while taking a short and soothing dip in the pool.The people :You are treated like family when you arrive, unlike some hotels that act like machines here there is the human touch. You could not ask for a more welcoming, human and kind people.
