    Beautiful cosy hotel,lovely decor and extra special with the decorations for Christmas. We stayed over the new year and enjoyed a fantastic meal in the restaurant, ate there three times during our week long stay. The staff are genuinely friendly and attentive,nothing is too much trouble.The shuttle bus service is great to bring guests to the cable car access to the slopes and its also only a few minutes walk into the town centre from the hotel.The spa was lovely, especially enjoyed the outdoor hot tub with views of the mountains.Thank you for a great stay.I Highly recommend ! ludovico colombati, Proprietario at Hotel Chalet Svizzero, responded to this review Hi Karen.     The place is generally “aged” and does not meet four star standard. Staff is notmotivated and quite clueless. Food is below any standard: cold, badly prepared and without taste. I thinkIt is all pre-heated and definitely not fresh. The owner was argumentative. ludovico colombati, Proprietario at Hotel Chalet Svizzero, responded to this review Good morning everyone.Let me briefly state that:- the original, old chalet style ("aged") is a choice, well-reported on the website and much appreciated;- the owner, who is me, was not present; had I been present, I would not have tolerated either the tone or the content (insults) and would have immediately removed the guest from the hotel;- the following morning, the lady came to apologize, specifying that the review was written by her husband;- the guests were not charged for the dishes they didn't like;- stating that the products are not fresh would warrant a police report; I will ask TA to remove the review, but I know from experience that won't happen: the show must go on.The hotel business is wonderful, and I will carry it out with passion until my last day.     Lovely accommodations in Courmayeur

    We stayed at Svizzero for our rest day while hiking the TMB. The accommodations were perfect for our needs. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean and the breakfast was a wonderful spread of eggs, meat, cheeses, breads, fruits and fresh squeezed orange juice. But the best part of our stay was the hospitality of the family who own and operate the hotel. They were so accommodating for all of our needs, especially when someone in our group became ill and needed to stay an extra night.     The best!

    This hotel stay was the highlight of our three-week trip to the Italian Alps, and we stayed at some great places! The staff always had time to give us advice on where to hike and bike to, and the bikes they provided (free of charge) were full suspension and well-maintained mountain bikes. Our room faced the river, and with the doors to the balcony open all night, we were treated to a familiar sound (we live on a large creek) as we slept. The rooms were clean and beautiful. The family who owns the hotel made us feel welcome and at home, and were always available for a conversation. After a long hike or ride, the spa was wonderful, the outdoor tub and Turkish bath were something to look forward to. And the breakfast...so delicious and so much to choose from. Dinners on the deck listening to the river were fun and of highest quality. The bar was well-stocked and the bartender was charming, and generous with a snack plate that we looked forward to as we were finishing a strenuous day. But I'll say again, the family made us feel like we were very welcome, such beautiful people! Next year we will return to Courmayeur and stay longer than the five days we stayed at the Chalet Svitzzero this time.     Everything you want in an Italian chalet in the alps. Food—incredible, walk ability— 10/10, views— inspiring.Regarding previous reviews; the service was kind and attentive even when there was a language barrier. We had a wonderful experience and didn’t have any issues with service. The restaurant was incredible and the continental breakfast was wonderful as well.
