Location

The hotel is located in Sestriere, one of the most exclusive ski resorts for winter holidays and in summer a wonderful natural environment. It was also protagonist of the last 2006 Turin Olympic Games. It is the epicentre of the Vialattea, featuring more than 400 km of ski runs and 66 lifts at the disposal of skiers, as well as 900 snow guns for making artificial snow. There are more than 8 km of cross-country ski tracks and there are also facilities for ice-skating in the very centre of the resort. There is a wide variety of activities for tourists who can enjoy any kind of sport, including an 18-hole golf course at 2000 m altitude at the Col. There are also numerous restaurants, bars, clubs and shops in Sestriere.

Facility

31 rooms are located on 3 storeys and can be reached by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops as well. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park (for a fee). Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a childcare service, a car hire service, a transfer service, room service (for a fee), a laundry service, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus. A bicycle hire service provides all the necessary equipment for exploring the surrounding area. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a fax machine.

Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the mountain view from a balcony or terrace. Rooms have a double bed or a queen-size bed. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a mini fridge included among the standard features. Equipped with a direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge), the rooms provide many ways for guests to stay connected and entertained. A shower, a bathtub and a bidet are included the bathrooms. A hairdryer and a telephone are available for daily use. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms are also available. The hotel has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

A sun terrace is a great place to while away the hours. The hot tub in the pool area promises pure relaxation. Active guests can enjoy cycling/mountain biking. The hotel's location is particularly ideal for skiers. Ski passes are available locally. After an eventful day, guests can work out and recharge in the gym. There is a wellness area with a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, a hammam and a solarium. Subject to charge: massage treatments. Activity coordinators organise an entertainment programme for adults and children.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a restaurant (with high chairs), a dining room, a breakfast room, a café and a bar. Catering options include bed and breakfast and half board. A generous breakfast buffet, a lunch buffet and a dinner à la carte offer plenty of delicious variety. Special meals, including diet meals, are also available. The hotel also offers special catering options.

Very basic, college like. The acoustics are the worst I've ever experienced, you can hear everything from the echoing corridor outside the rooms. Avoid the Easter break...hundreds of school trip teenagers. Its verry worn down and in bad shape.

The feeling of the hotel/ building is east germany beging of 1980. Its like a concret bunker. It verry worn down. The breakfast and dinner- buffe is barely ok. Swimming area and gym is cold and not cousy. I would not recomend a stay here. The location near the slope is ok. Great but very big hotel with 850 rooms. Great location and great food and service. Functional rooms but with no WiFi. It would be expected at a hotel this level.

comfortable accommodation with poor customer service

Comfortable rooms available for a family of four with very easy access to the ski slopes however the customer service in this hotel is very poor from the long wait to check in and only to complete the process partially and staff did not give us the keys for the ski lockers; it also took them three days to fix an electrical problem with the cooker/microwave.
