  Positive aspects: location in front of the Tognola lifts and a few hundred meters from the center; unparalleled panorama of the Pale di San Martino from the room window; kindness of the lady at the reception. Breakfast is abundant, varied, and good as far as the sweet options go... much less so for the savory ones.Negative aspects:- Receptionist, who alternates with the lady mentioned above, does not understand Italian, so he often misunderstands what you ask, and it is practically impossible to communicate with him.- Rooms: cleaning reduced to a minimum, beds poorly made, bathrooms fairly clean but with personal cleaning supplies reduced to the essentials. Soundproofing is insufficient: all 4 mornings of the stay I was unpleasantly awakened at 7 sharp by the perfectly understandable chatter of the neighbor in the next room, to the detriment of my rest and her privacy, and mine as well.- Dinner: dining room staff fairly kind but not very accommodating in case of extra requests; food quality is decent but cooking is terrible. Dessert sometimes not properly defrosted!But the icing on the cake was the last night: it was impossible to choose between 2 first courses and 2 second courses like the previous nights, but a fixed menu: dumplings and pork shank. It was only possible to vary with a kids' menu: pasta with sauce and breaded cutlet with potatoes. Not liking the dumplings, I asked for and was promised pasta with sauce, which was then served to me plain without any seasoning!!!! The waiter's abrupt, insufficient, embarrassed justification was first that the sauce was not planned, and then, after my complaints, that the cook hadn't had time !!!!!!!! All this without apologizing, as if it were all natural!!!! Either that or nothing!!! My wife, not eating pork, asked for the cutlet: she was served one of those small, ready-made cutlets sold in supermarkets (like Amadori), barely warm and poorly cooked! Unforgettable experience!-Hotel services: LAST 2 DAYS OF THE STAY WITHOUT AN ELEVATOR!!! I am 73 years old, I suffer from osteoarthritis of my right hip and knee, and my room was on the third floor of the hotel... I will say no more. I had previously read about this elevator problem in other reviews, but I had hoped they were exaggerations or at most isolated cases! Instead....... !!!! Hotel only for young people???And disabled people????Among the negative things is also the access to the parking lot if you are coming from the town, or exiting it to head towards the center: to avoid dangerous maneuvers in the middle of a curve, I had to go several times to a nearby gas station to make a U-turn and thus enter easily and without danger.One last thing ... a positive one: on the morning of our departure, while going down the stairs with our luggage, we happened to meet a Black cleaning staff member who, seeing my wife and me struggling, offered to help us!   SKI TRIP FROM HELL!!!!!!

  DONT EVER STAY HERE!! I stayed here on a ski trip with my school, the skiing was excellent!!! HOWEVER the hotel was disgusting, the food was inedible and the staff were terribly rude. The hotel is years behind modern times, showers were cold and we had to wait hours to even get one. We had to live off bread rolls for a week!!! This hotel seriously neeeds a reality check!   Horrible policies!!!! This hotel is refusing to give me a refund amid the coronavirus outbreak in the region. Not only has the U.S. State Department restricted travel to the region, but airlines from the U.S. have stopped operating in the area. The people running this hotel are scam artists.

  Great quality for a 2-star hotel

  Good quality/price ratio, comfy bed, smiling staff, generous parking, and an excellent position if you're skiing in Tognola (the hotel is only 300 m away from the lifts). Dinner was low quality, but then again we only paid around 30 euro for two people, so I guess at least it was fairly priced. luciano l, Direttore at Hotel Fratazza, responded to this review Grazie.
