Lovely staff, but some room issues

    rating20 Apr 2026

The staff here is wonderful—always friendly and smiling. The rooms are also very clean and serviced regularly. However, our stay was a bit disappointing due to the room location. Being on the ground floor, the windows were covered with privacy film, which unfortunately blocked the view entirely. The walls are also very thin. The worst part was the room design: our window was connected to the main entrance door. Every time someone entered or left the building, the window rattled loudly, making it impossible to sleep peacefully. As for breakfast, it was the same every day. The hotel would really benefit from adding some fresh vegetables to the menu.

    Thank you Hotel Aaron.

Near to train station and if you use the no.2 bus in the next street takes you to the bus station where you can board a water taxi ( line 2 ) to St Mark's Square. The area itself is seedy and there are people selling cigarettes and other goods from rucksacks, however we are a couple of pensioners and didn't encounter any problems when going out for dinner. We just made sure we were back at the hotel before 9 0'clock. There are lots of restaurants nearby and a large supermarket. We had a beautiful, very clean room in the main building at the back of the hotel so didn't encounter any noise. The room didn't have a kettle but a lovely member of staff gave us one. The breakfast was buffet style with lots of choices and there are 3 sittings. The staff were very helpful and gave us all the information we needed. If I visit Venice again then this hotel is definitely where I would stay. Thank you for everything Hotel Aaron.

    Ok hotel, terrible location

    rating14 Dec 2025

The hotel was satisfactory and met its 3-star rating. Staff were helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. One downside was that the hotel is spread across multiple buildings, and we were not located in the main building, which felt a little unusual. That said, we had no major issues. The beds were comfortable, and when we requested extra pillows, staff were happy to provide them. There was no tea or coffee supplied, however the room did include a fridge, kettle and microwave, which was useful. The location scores 1/5. It earns a point solely because of how easy it is to reach Venice — the number 2 bus stops just outside the Ali supermarket across the road and gets you into Venice in around 15 minutes.Unfortunately, the immediate area itself is very unpleasant. There were large numbers of intoxicated individuals, drug users and homeless people around. Police were frequently present at our section of the hotel dealing with arguments and disturbances among homeless individuals. Walking through the area felt unsafe and extremely uncomfortable, particularly at night.

    Lovely room and staff

    rating10 Nov 2025

Lovely hotel, lovely room. Room was made up nice. Curtains blocked out everything which was great. Included in room was a fridge (hidden in dresser), microwave and kettle. Need to take own cup and teabags. Hotel staff were very kind and helpful. Had free room service.

Good base for a visit to Venice

    rating20 Oct 2025

This hotel rooms are clean. The room offered a safe and mini fridge. Our room was in a building across the road from the main reception. We didn't have any issues. The reception staff are very helpful. Breakfast was buffet style continental. Location is easy walking distance of the train station, which is then a quick journey into Venice. This is a good option for a 3 star hotel within easy reach of Venice. A lot of the hotels on the island of Venice look very rundown, so we felt the short transit time and cheap rail fare was worth it to stay in a more comfortable hotel.
