    TERRIBLE! NEVER STAY THERE

    rating06 May 2026

I stayed at Hotel Adua in Venice (3–7 May 2026) and there was no hot water for around 24 hours. I reported it multiple times, but the hotel said they were fully booked and had no solution or timeline to fix it. My messages by phone, SMS, and email were mostly ignored, and there was no real help during the stay. Booking.com was informed but only offered travel credits instead of a refund, which doesn’t reflect the fact that a basic service was missing. Afterward I saw other reviews mentioning the same issue, which suggests this is not an isolated case.

Completely Unsanitary, Had to Leave Immediately

    rating02 May 2026

***AVOID*** My stay at Adua Hotel in Venice was extremely disappointing and unacceptable.Upon entering the room on April 28, I found serious hygiene issues, including human feces on the bathroom wall, making the room completely unsuitable for occupancy. The room also had an unpleasant environment due to a nearby terrace with accumulated garbage bags.I immediately reported the issue and requested cleaning or a room change, but my request was denied with no solution offered.Because of the unsanitary conditions, I had no choice but to leave the hotel and did not stay for any of my booked nights. Despite this, the hotel refused to issue a refund.I strongly advise caution before booking this property due to poor cleanliness and lack of customer support.

    AVOID HOTEL ADUA IN VENICE

    rating02 Feb 2026

DO NOT BOOK.. DO NOT BOOK...N FEB 2026 NO HOT WATER IN SHOWER. NO AIRCON NO HEATING.ROOM VERY COLD. REVIEWS ON BOOKING.COM SHOW REVIEWS FROM 3 weeks ago saying no hot shower and others from July and Aug saying no aircon. Carpet on stairs into is very dirty as is the carpet in the hotel. When I complained to booking.com asking for a full refund they would only offer €16 in vouchers. 1/5 of cost of 3 nites. I stayed one nite and booked 2 nites in another hotel instead.. APPALLINGLY BAD AND BOOKING.COM OBVIOUSLY DO NOT INSPECT PLACES LISTED ON THEIR SITE. Never had such a bad experience

Health Hazard Disguised as a Hotel

    rating26 Sept 2025

This was, without question, the worst hotel experience we’ve ever had. • No hot water at all for the entire stay – completely unacceptable. • The room was full of flies and insects, making it very unpleasant. • Mould on the walls and a generally unhygienic environment. • Air-conditioning and lights didn’t work, so the room was hot, dark, and uncomfortable. • Dirty bedding and not enough towels provided. • We booked a triple room, yet all three of us were expected to share one small double bed. This was not remotely what we paid for and felt more like a health hazard than a hotel. Avoid this place at all costs – it completely ruined our stay in Venice.

    Don't. Just don't.

    rating04 Sept 2025

In the immortal words of Phil Connors, this hotel is a fleabag. No hot water (seriously--I ran the tap for 30 minutes), no A/C, no breakfast, no TV (flat panel or otherwise), no maid service, no hand soap or hand towel, no drinking cups. The bathroom walls are covered in mildew, the leaky ceiling is disintegrating and the room walls have mysterious smears on them. Only one roll of toilet paper was provided. The WiFi was barely functional--I ended up using my phone's hotspot instead. The attendant couldn't find my reservation, despite that I appeared to be the only guest. Then he claimed my credit card had been rejected, showing me a rejection slip from a card that wasn't mine. I asked him to run my card again. He gave several completely different excuses for why he couldn't do that. Instead, he was very interested in me paying him in cash and directed me to the nearby ATMs. When I produced the confirmation slip stating "PAID AND CONFIRMED" he insisted that I needed to pay him again because he didn't have my money. He said "maybe you can get your money back" from the room reseller. The scam attempt destroyed my trust in the hotel, and I spent the next day carrying my bag around with me as I toured Venice for fear it'd be stolen from my room or seized for a cash payment. The worst hotel I've ever stayed in including an abominable, blood-stained room an airline put me up in after a flight cancellation. I have no idea why this hotel has 3 1/2 stars. It shouldn't be more than two.So how did I stumble into this abysmal decision? I reserved this hotel on a different travel agency site (starts with "a" and has the words "go" and "da" in it. Some of the photos weren't even of the Adua. It was rated as "very good" and 7.3, which, on Expedia, would be plenty good enough especially at a good price. It should've been rated far lower or not even listed. I wish I'd confirmed the rating with Expedia or Trip Advisor before reserving. "A" also let me down on some other reservations. I won't be using the "A" travel agency site again after this.
