    Room 151, spacious corner junior suite that was well maintained. Gorgeous murano chandelier and classic Italian furnishings. The sister hotel is just across a street and has the most amazing balcony seating to watch the gondolas while having drinks. Both hotels have landings for water taxis. Location, location!!!! Is right behind St. Marks Square so easy walking to everything. Lots of restaurants on street including right next door. Can see Bridge of Sighs from hotel. Evening front desk great for info and very helpful. Front desk will arrange what you need for transportation with a bit of notice. Would definitely stay there again.

    Just returned from a lovely honeymoon in Venice and our stay at Hotel Al Ponte Dei Sospiri was simply wonderful. The location was spot on (literally round the corner from Piazza San Marco) and our room was very clean and well presented. Great value for money for a fraction of the price of similar hotels in the area! The service was excellent and all staff did everything they could to make us feel at home. A lovely touch was being able to create a custom breakfast each day and have it delivered to your room the next morning, during a time slot of your choice. The breakfast always arrived perfectly on time and was delivered with a smile and a joyful morning welcome by the wonderful Raffaele (who made us feel very welcome, gave us great advice on local restaurants and sights…and even gave us a parting gift!).

    Superb Hotel in a Superb Location!

    Superb hotel in an excellent location. We enjoyed exploring San Marco and rest of Venice, and this was the perfect spot to do so. 1min walk from the Basilica and St Marks Square. Restaurants and bars everywhere in the surrounding area. Just the perfect base. Room was large, shower was strong, bottle of fizz on ice as we arrived into the room. And Rafaelle every morning bringing breakfast was a joy!

    The Ponte dei Sospiri hotel in Venice offers an excellent location, just a short walk from San Marco, making it perfect for exploring the city. The staff members are very friendly and welcoming, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The hotel is clean and well-maintained, and the junior suite in Venetian style, although we booked without a canal view, was comfortable and charming. The internet connection was reliable and worked flawlessly throughout my stay.One area that could be improved is breakfast. While it is convenient that breakfast is served in the room, the selection is quite basic with limited variety, which might not satisfy guests who rely on a more substantial morning meal. I understand the hotel does not have a restaurant, which likely affects the breakfast offering, but enhancing this aspect would certainly add to the overall experience.A special mention goes to senior Raffaele, who serves breakfast with great kindness and friendliness. His genuine effort to make guests feel comfortable and welcome truly adds value to the stay and is a definite highlight. Additionally, the reception team surprised me on my birthday with a Prosecco in the room—a thoughtful and delightful gesture that made my visit even more memorable.One thing to note is the noise level: you can sometimes hear neighbours in the next room, especially when they talk, which may be noticeable in your room.Overall, I highly recommend staying at the Ponte dei Sospiri, especially choosing a Venetian-style room, for its unbeatable location, friendly staff, and charming ambience. It was a very positive experience, and I look forward to returning.
