    Excellent room...without a view but off the beaten path and quiet. Really clean and simple set up. Beds and pillows were very comfy. Nice hot shower. No elevator and tucked away in an alley. Really quiet at night. Has a small deck on the roof...not a great view but clean. Few amenities and check-in was a bit chaotic as we had a large group. This is a small hotel that caters to travelers that do not need much assitance...and we did not. We only slept and showered there and spent our time exploring. Perfect fit. Great location next to a small plaza with food and shopping 50 feet away. Best coffee and pastry shop is steps away to start your day.

    Great location. Easy access to everywhere and grocery stories is 1 min walk. Cafe and bakery is right beside. Room has ac and it was clean. My room was at 3d floor and too many narrow stairs to reach room (not recommended for seniors). Nichole at receptionist was very kind and helpful.

    This is a small, no frills hotel in the heart of the Jewish quarter. We stayed for 4 nights. The hotel was clean and comfortable, the room had air conditioning, plenty of hanging and drawer space, tea & coffee making facilities, a dressing table, hairdryer and spacious bathroom with a shower, loo and bidet. Breakfast was fresh and although the choice was limited it was still very good. Staff were friendly and helpful and all in all we had a great stay. The only thing missing was a safe in the room. Near the hotel were plenty of bars, restaurants and shops and as this is an area less overrun with tourists it was very pleasant to wander around in the evening. I would certainly return to this hotel

    Just returned from Monday to Friday in Venice. Al Portico is in a quiet spot and easy to get to everything. The guesthouse is quiet, clean, well furnished and a very pleasant place to stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the sunshine of the roof terrace was lovely and a great way to start the day. I would recommend highly. Also good value!

    We pre-paid to stay at this hotel before covid. Once covid happened they refused to give us a refund even though we were from Australia and unable to leave the country as we were locked down. I wrote many emails to them explaining what was happening and could we please have a refund as we cannot attend but was told no. Be careful of this hotel as they will take your money and if anything goes wrong, they do not care!
