Location

This hotel built in the traditional Italian style is located directly opposite the well known Bacino Orseolo, the gondola meeting point in Venice. Links to the public transport network are located directly in front of the hotel and the St Marks Square is only a few minutes away by foot. The hotel has 9 junior suites, 12 single rooms and 86 double rooms, which are located on 4 storeys and are reachable by lift. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out.     Second Time Staying Here: Location, location, location

    This is my second time staying at Cavalletto & Doge Orseolo, a charming, European-style hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean, and the location is AMAZING. We took a private water taxi from the Santa Lucia train station to St. Mark Square. Then, we just walked across the piazza to our hotel. Very easy. On departure day, the friendly staff arranged for a water taxi to pick us up at their private dock, so the transfer to the airport was seamless.

    It was our first visit to Venice and we stayed here on a friend's recommendation. I am so glad we did. Our room overlooked a canal and gondola station. It was clean, quiet, the bed was comfy and the bathroom had good water pressure and temperature. The hotel bar made our visit exceptional. One man, Michael, ran it all. Behind the bar, serving tables, clearing tables, going to outside tables, running to the kitchen for food orders... he did it all with grace and accuracy. Watching him was amazing, and tiring! A great location, service and a most memorable visit.

    Great Venice Hotel & Unbeatable Location

    We had a great stay at the Hotel Cavalletto & Doge Orseolo. Its location just behind San Marco plaza can't be beat. We found the hotel really comfortable and definitely worth the price. Room was typically on the smaller side, but our room had windows that overlooked a gondolier stand and the canal. Staff was great. Breakfast was also really good.

    Hotel location was fantastic. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. And the bar was very nice. My only complaint is that the bath tub is small and it was difficult to keep the water in the tub when showering I would highly recommend this hotel.

    very nice room, clean, quiet even if we were above the chanel and perfect service breakfast was ok but I missed to have the possibility to toast my bread
