    Very nice place

    rating29 May 2026

Place modern and nice, staff very kind and helpful, super close to the Mestre train station, rooms and hostel in general were very clean. Only thing I would add is some curtains on the beds to give a bit more privacy.

    Really Recommend

    rating27 May 2026

I really enjoyed my stay here. It felt like a homey hotel, just sharing a sleeping space with other people. I didn’t love the area, however, it is right near the train station which is great. The place was clean and the sheets were nice. We only stayed there for a night, so there wasn’t much of the activities we took part in. There is so much there, I really recommend it for anyone.

    Very Disappointing and Unsafe Experience

    rating07 May 2026

I stayed at Anda Venice Hostel and had a very concerning experience involving a member of the security staff. During my stay, I felt harassed and racially profiled, and the situation escalated to the point where I no longer felt safe and left one day earlier than planned.I reported the incident through Booking.com, and customer service confirmed that an official complaint was opened.Separately from that incident, the general conditions of the hostel were also disappointing. The beds were uncomfortable, there was very little privacy in the rooms, and the shared bathroom facilities were not clean. The shower and toilet areas felt poorly maintained, and even the sink water for brushing teeth had an unusual taste.Overall, my experience did not meet basic expectations for comfort, cleanliness, or safety.

Great place with an amazing kitchen!

Great place with an amazing kitchen!THAT is the perfect hostel for budget travelers like me. Great and fully equipped kitchen, so you can cook basically anything, affordable coffee machines on site, stores nearby and very close to the main train station. Its surrounding isn't the best and safest but there isn't much to see or do around the hostel anyway.Rooms are great, clean, quiet, safe and organize.Highly recommend it!

Decent Hostel in Mestre, Good Value for Money.

    rating02 Apr 2026

Stayed at Anda Venice Hostel, located a couple of streets away from Mestre Train Station, for a long weekend in a shared room. By the train station is the dodgy part of Mestre, however it is no less safe than around Manchester Piccadilly or Nottingham Train Station which means if you're coming back from Venice at night make sure you are vigilant.I would recommend this hostel if you travelling as a group as this is definitely a party hostel full of Gen Z and on the weekends they do club nights as well as other nights throughout the week. During these nights they do have security on the doors checking hostel passes, I wasn't aware of this at the time which led to a standoff between myself and the security guard until I realised he was security. I did find some of the staff there to be quite rude which was disappointing as being a foreigner on a solo trip is a daunting experience and the hostel staff didn't help with that. There is a vibrant atmosphere throughout the hostel with varying nationalities which gives the hostel a nice feelThis hostel can't be beaten on value and if you are budget travelling then here is absolutely perfect as long as you're okay with not being in directly in Venice. Mestre itself is a Mediterranean Sheffield and staying in Anda allowed me to discover the mainland moreso than I would've had I stayed in Generator or a hotel in Venice. The hostel is clean and well maintained, it is noisy especially on club nights and you will get drunk and leary people potentially outside your room at 2am but again you're staying at a party hostel you should expect it. You can buy a lock and rent a towel upon check-in. They have a bar that is reasonably priced, furthermore there is a 24 hour vending machine a couple of streets over.Overall, Anda Venice is a decent hostel to stay at and for it's price it won't be beaten on value. This place is perfect for groups that are interrailing or for people on their gap years. This is a party hostel so this is great for meeting new people. If you're solo and not as interested in Mestre itself then I'd only recommend here based on value for money.
